I read where fully loaded would be $47,000. I'm cool with EV. I have two friends who are retired engineers that love sitting down and planning their drives (Tesla's).

It will simply not work for me. Towing and the fact that my garage is over the hill under my house and I have NO desire to clean snow in the winter just doesn't work.

My second tank of gas has me somewhere near 40% EV, so good enough.

I didn't watch and that would be irrelevant to my info.
I think it gives a good indication, along with other things in the video, of how it’s made.
I’m also not one to throw this much money at a new product. I remember seeing the Maverick when it came out and it peaked my interest but I waited to see how people liked it first. Also to let Ford, who I trust way more than this brand, work out the kinks.
To each their own. We will see how things work out. For me it will be from the sidelines in my Maverick.

I get that, all of it.

None of it has anything to do with my comments about wrap installation cost or the tailgate lock option that Glen Baker apparently found funny.

We already had guys fighting to the death over a trailer hitch the other day, no need for another one to breakout over a vinyl wrap or a locking tailgate.

Why not? Just be sure to sanitize your hands first. :)

It’s just a discussion with varying opinions. Nothing to get worked up about. We all do what we feel is best for us, right?

Absolutely.

Just not what my original comment about the laughs was about. Glen hates the Slate. I get it. But he also hates facts being presented to him.

Excerpt:
Everybody needs a gimmick in today’s tough truck market. Slate already had one: the cheapest EV on the market, by far. Two weeks ago Slate announced that pricing for a bare-bones (aka Blank Slate) electric pickup truck would start at $24,950, minus destination. That’s already a pretty good draw.

But now Slate has pulled another rabbit out of its hat, or in this case crayon out of its box, with the announcement that the e-Truck maker has partnered with iconic crayon brand Crayola to color the wraps that bring its truck bodies alive.

“Two iconic brands are coming together to enable Slate drivers to make their mark with a Crayola color. Today, we’re announcing a collaboration with Crayola on vehicle wraps and accessories to bring five classic colors to Slate Trucks: Cerulean, Fern, Jersey Tomato, Razzmatazz, and Dandelion.”

Will it work? We’ll find out when Slate starts deliveries of trucks in Q4 of this year. We’ll take Jersey Tomato, please.

Maybe they'll come out with a lego style kit and wrap gimmick to make it looks something like this :teehee:
