Our two Lariat windshields have cracked from the bottom right corner and cracked across to just under the mirror. 3 replacements so far. No visible signs of rock damage, etc.. Anyone else had issues? Beginning to think there is a defect somewhere. Glass, design? Anyone else have an issue?

Thankfully, no. Almost sounds like the windshield frame is not aligned properly if you've had three do the same thing??

You sure that's not just the windshield wiper heater? I highly doubt the glass manufacturer has this many bad windshields in a row.

That could be possible. We live in a colder climate. I'll look into that. Thank you.

I had a full-size Red-tail falcon drive right into my Lariat windshield at full speed, and it never broke. There were guts and grease all over the full width of it. It flexed so badly that the inside mirror flew off, but the windshield never broke. I had 2 Rangers previously, and put 5 windshields in them before I learned how to stay back far enough from the guy in front kicking up stones and sand. There are a few people with 22's where the alignment pins were left in to rattle and put a lots of pressure on the edge, but that was resolved on the 23-and-up models. I think that most people with broken windshields are just driving closer to the guy in front than the normal 2-second rule. You might be able to get away with that most of the time with a highly sloped car windshield, but not on a truck. Just ask any Jeep owner with a vertical windshield how many they've put in.

You say bottom RIGHT, is that passenger or drivers side (depending on which way you are looking - at from outside or through?) Mine recently cracked with no visible damage from drivers side lower corner and ran towards the rearview mirror...
Fwiw, 35 months old and 17,500 miles...

Same thing recently happened to my 2023 XLT. No apparent rock chips. Actually heard it crack while sitting in a parking spot. Lower passenger side and crack running towards middle.

Glass is called out on the warranty under windshield stress cracks. Says limited coverage provided for 12 months 12k miles. I was at 14 months and 22k miles...

Are these windshield failures all Lariat trims? I believe the Lariat has a different windshield than the XL/XLT, and is called an "acoustic" windshield that helps cut down on wind noise. I also have a recent Subaru with an acoustic windshield, and although I haven't myself had any problems with cracking, a lot of Subaru people have had cracking with the acoustic windshield without any known damage. So I wonder if acoustic windshields are just more prone to cracking than the non-acoustic?

In any case, I did get a special glass rider from my insurance company for my Subaru windshields, so if it does crack and need a full replacement, I'm out a lot less money than if I had to pay for it out of pocket.

I’m on my 3rd windshield. All Service glass put an aftermarket windshield on the truck and it seems to be way more durable.

'23 XL. Still have my OEM windshield. Not a single crack.
Lariat I found out has a 3 piece heated windshield. We're in a hot/cold climate. Apparently the problem

I also have a lariat. I am on my 3rd windshield in 2 years. Mine are definitely rocks.
