Next will be meeting with business manager and he will want you to get GAP INSURANCE then comes maintenance contract $450.00 per month. I opted out of this.

I paid $32k for my 2023 XLT Tremor 3 years ago and it's still worth $30k or so. They hold their value remarkably well. If you can swing the AWD option, I'd recommend it. For the resale, if nothing else. Congrats. You're going to love it.
Order already went through for a date, I think I'll be happy with FWD for mileage sake. I'm not as able to fork over an extra 3k, plus whatever tax but it is what it is! I'm sure it'll be a fun (hopefully) mid July delivery

Not sure how long you hang on to vehicles, but in MA I would think that AWD would be handy, or worth more down the road.

Also, you can now get the power sliding rear window if that interests you.

HRG
Good advice for sure.

I wish I only had to pay 6.25% tax.
Where I live (Quebec) there is a 5% federal tax and a 9.5% provincial tax calculated on total of the truck price and federal tax.
It works out to 14.975%.
On a $50k truck the tax is very close to $7500.😡
Leave Quebec at your first opportunity. Just don't move to ANY blue state in the USA. (They love taxes like Quebec.)

I think you will regret no awd & 4k toe in the long run. I assume you’re financing? If so the cost of those two options spread over the loan period shouldn't bust a budget and will make the truck a whole lot more attractive to a wider audience and bring more resale value. Just a thought. Good luck in whatever you decide

Well, the reality for me is that I won't need to tow. It was either this or a crosstrek. I chose this for the bed and hybrid (and apparently sluggish engine of the crosstrek). I live in a city suburban town as well.

I'm still in school, and I told myself my max payment is below 300, with a large down payment, so I can effectively pay it prior to finishing. From what Im looking at including the rate I was given, it should be roughly $260.

I get paid a decent amount and have nearly no expenses due to my military service, but I would like to keep more in saving, believe me I wanted the lariat but my wallet didn't.

I agree it would be nice, but the reality for the next 5ish years I can't see myself doing it.

Don't forget about the Farm Bureau discount. If you join 30 days before you take delivery, you'll get a $500 discount. Join the Illinois FB for $20 and they'll mail you a membership card which gets you $500 off your truck. You don't have to live in Illinois, btw.

Nah... I would not want to buy a used tremor especially xlt grade for $30k when new is $36-$38k. 3 years newer than your 2023. Factor in improvements made in 3 years in car manufacturing is HUGE!

Ford has over priced maverick greatly since there is no direct competition. No such thing as low margin on Mexican made products. Raw materials and labor are so much lower in Mexico!

At low to mid 30s the maverick look less rosy since trucks like ranger, Tacoma and Colorado cost just that much with better all around capabilities.

Good luck to op...

I respectfully disagree. It does depend where you live. Upstate NY is 4x4 territory. My truck is mint with 6400 miles on it. If you can get a new Tremor for $36k, you're a daisy.
