2026 Hybrid flat tow experience

Had to make a high speed run to Albuquerque yesterday to drop of my motorhome. Had the Blue Ox setup and RVi braking system. Took about 15 minutes to get everything properly hooked up. After reading various posts on putting the running gear In the flat tow mode, I went to page 331 in the book and it was extremely simple to put the truck in tow mode and to take it out of tow mode. Some posts here differ from the manual and create unnecessary confusion.

Even a blind squirrel will find a nut occasionally and 1 point does make a trend. I've towed my 2023 XLT Hybrid for almost 25,000 miles and have had maybe 3 weird incidents with the Neutral Tow function. In all occurrences there has been brain fart by the Maverick in taking it out of Neutral Tow mode. The truck may indicate it is out of Neutral Tow, but gear selector is nonfunctional or the inverse where the truck indicates it is in Neutral Tow mode but the gear selector and indicator function normally. In either case, disconnecting the negative battery lead and reconnecting resets the Maverick's poor confused little brain. I keep a 10mm box/open end wrench in the glove box, so these incidents are merely annoying and quickly resolved.
