On my ‘25 Lariat hybrid, the muffler is not where it is in any install or underbody video I’ve seen. In the videos, it is onnthe left side very close to to the end of the pipe. In mine, however, it is much further forward and kind of on the right. Is that an AWD thing or a hybrid thing or did they really move it? Thanks.

Sounds like you're confusing the resonator (and a canister style is no longer used) with the muffler.
That’s possible. Flat oval box in the exhaust line? Anyway it moved. Same question.

The thing after the rear wheel and near the end of the tailpipe was the resonator. I had that on my ‘22 Ecoboost. My understanding is that later in the ‘22s, might have been ‘23s, they removed that and put that mesh looking thing in its place.

I just picked up my ‘25 Ecoboost, which has the mesh thing, and it is way louder than my ‘22 ever was. Not sure if it is because of the resonator change or something with the ‘25s, as I have no other comparison.
All I know is that I don’t like it at all.

I'll have a picture of my 23 HYBRID muffler location as soon as there's enough light.
Here ya go. Picture as promised.

I mean this. The marked up picture is from the @MABETT Amazon listing for their underbody cavity shield. The second is under my truck on the passenger side looking back towards the driver’s rear.
The one in Mabett's photos was eliminated during the 2022 model year, in favor of the small screen.

You have a hybrid. I figured you'd want to answer and picture from somebody else with a hybrid.
My 2023 HYBRID Muffler is in the same location. No change.

That is what I mentioned in my post as the resonator.
That is separate from the muffler.

So is the "underbody cavity shield" Mabett is advertising needed or not and why? Thanks again.

That has nothing to do with the presence or absence of a resonator, but rather whether you want to block off open sections from from being a direct path for potential road debris/spray.
