First tow with my 2025 Maverick on a 250 mile tow pulling a 3,980lb (
) Caddy. No issues towing up to 70mph, but I typically stayed 5mph under the speed limit and allowed lots of space for stopping and maneuvering. I used premium fuel for the tow and ran the AC all the way in 90°+F heat.
My tow dolly was showing its age and parts were coming off of it on their own this trip. It still managed to do the job though. It's time to either rebuild it or replace it with a trailer.
I recommend disabling the lane centering when loaded, if you have it, as the truck's small but abrupt corrections can cause a single little fishtail cycle. (
