When I brought mine in they checked it out and ordered the EBB. I waited a week for it to arrive and then brought it back, they had the Mav for a day but I had a loaner.

Hello,
Got the truck a few weeks ago, now 600 miles in a weird clicking noise developed when I release the brake pedal. I don't think the noise was there when I drove the truck off the lot but I can't be 100% sure. Please see attached video I took with phone on the floor and camera facing the pedal assembly. It sounds like some where needs some extra grease but I can't pinpoint the source. I listened from under the hood with somebody pressing the pedal inside and I can hear it faintly.
Any hints or things to try myself before I take it in ?
Do you have that damn brake hold thing on? I find it a nuisance.

Thanks. I’m just worried a new ebb will be making click sounds soon after like the fist one eventually did.
I’ve been good since July. Knock on wood. The tech even replaced the pin that connects the piston with the brake pedal.

OK , I did more investigations before going to the dealer, at least I can give them some hints. Now I'm confident that the noise does not come from the brake pedal assembly since the noise is not there if the car is completely off (not even brake lights come on when pedal is pushed).

The noise is from the engine bay near the brake booster / master cylinder. I can forget about an easy DIY fix.. bummer

had same issue. Ended up getting new EBB. Issue gone for now.
HAPPENS WHEN APPLYING BRAKE AND LETTING OFF. CUSTOMER THINKS IT MAY BE THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE BOOSTER, SEE RO 846666 FOR PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED/POSSIBLY RELATED PRIOR WORK TEST DROVE VERIFIED THE INTERMITTENT RATCHETING NOISE DURING STOP AND GO DRIVING, VERIFIED THE NOISE COMING FROM THE DASH AREA, UNABLE TO PINPOINT THE NOISE, CONTACTED FORD HOTLINE AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO PERFORM TSB 24-2317, AND BLEED THE BRAKE SYSTEM, PERFORMED BOTH REQUESTED PROCEDURES ON LINE 3, AND 4. THE NOISE IS STILL PRESENT, FORD SUGGESTED TO REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE BOOSTER AT THIS TIME. REPLACED THE EBB/ABS MODULE, PERFORMED ALL PROGRAMING AND BLEED PROCEDURES, AND TEST DROVE TO VERIFY THE NOISE IS NO LONGER PRESENT AT THIS TIME.
