Yessir, I purchased the DD kit for the 22-24 Mav and cut it and worked with it to make it fit. I’ve never liked flush mounted fog lug lights on the bumpers so I made it to where it fit in to the hole. That way I could get the “factory” look.

as for the bumper, you only have to remove the lower plastic and the trim piece on the front of it. The upper front bumper under the lights does not need to come off. I only pulled it off because the CVF FMIC was installed as well
Can you tell us how you got the lower molding off without the whole bumper? I'm getting ready to do a custom fog light on my FX4 next week and was looking just for this information. Some answered you couldn't just get the lower off in a thread I posted. Please tell how!

I took my entire bumper off and then seperated the lower bumper. Since I didn’t remove just the lower I wouldn’t be able to tell you. I did state earlier that you don’t have to take the whole bumper off because it’s just in the lower bumper but since I didn’t remove just the lower I can’t give you any directions.
I wish I could be more helpful.

I installed the CVF FMIC as well so that’s why I took the whole thing off.

Sold a ton to previous year Mav owners (like me).

I wasn’t waiting that long because I’m having my entire front end covered with PPF

Pin 5 is brown and that for the left fog light, pin 4 is yellow/orange and that is for the right. Mine will be pinned and ran through the BCM into a f-150/lobo switch to keep the stock look

Did you find a wiring diagram for the 2025 connectors? That would be really helpful. You're talking in terms of left and right fogs but I want to be extra careful, if may, that we're talking about the same thing...

In the DD instructions for 24 models, in order to get the back light activated, you you tap into the parking via the connector wire #10 brown with yellow under the passenger side fender liner (disconnected before bumper removal) then in order to get fogs to come on only with headlights, you disconnect the passenger headlight connector and tap into #3 (blue with green)

So better safe than sorry, just to make sure. Are we talking about the same thing then? And still the wires you noted?

I do not know what pin is for backlighting, so I used the wires for the actual fogs and ran them into the correct pin in the wire harness so, no we are not talking about the same thing because you are talking about wiring your fog lights directly splicing into the headlights so the come on automatically

Yes thanks for clarifying. The DD maverick kit fogs have a backlight that can activate when fog main light is not activated (comes with a 3 position toggle main on/off/ backlight on) and their standard instructions have you tap into parking lights for that ... and then tap into the headlight power so they only come on with headlight activation.

Thanks again for the chat.

Do you have pics of the final installation? I'm curious how they look with your modifications to make them fit.

I will post in the next few days once I get it all finished up. The wiring is tricky and takes a while

Here are the pics of the product installed. I’ll have more pics once I get the bumper installed back on the vehicle
