How so? People talking over one another, not listening, repeating themselves, arguing just for arguments sake and drawing the wrong conclusions even though some are agreeing with each other but don't know it because they would rather prove themselves MORE right than the other person? But you come back every year because in spite of it all, you look forward to the chaos ?-----You mean that's not just my family? 🤣🤣🤣
Wow! You sound like my long lost brother!!! 🤧

Whatever happened to reading comprehension in America?
I have to *see* it to comprehend it.

I certainly did not see your post(s) referring to this overheating issue being resolved.

Correct, it overheated at 450.8 and that was later determined to be "low coolant" though both the the reservoir were between MIN & MAX. Then 550 miles after it was repaired and broken in properly, I towed at 1,100 miles. Lightly and closely monitored. See pic.

What was I supposed to do to it, put a diaper on it and rock it to sleep, lol?

Whatever happened to reading comprehension in America? Oh my goodness people! The show is over folks, so put your torches out and pitchforks away and be gone already. 🤣 Think happy thoughts and wish me well. It's so simple to do. 🩵
But one of them had pink coolant and one of them had green coolant. We still haven't determined how that happened. I bet that had a huge deal with the vehicle overheating.

You swore one was pink and one was green.

I mean that is a major major problem. Why won't you address that?

I picked up the pickup yesterday and was told the coolant was low. When I looked, the reservoir was between MIN & MAX. I would assume the tech forgot to add coolant before I picked up the truck or failed to burp it?

I only saw two reservoirs under the hood that day, though it was hot and I was upset. One has green fluid in it and the other is pink. I put 70 miles on the truck to check it out and it seems fine now.
So IF the vehicle hasn't been back to the dealer since - you still have different color coolants, yes?

No, I stand corrected. The one that's larger is green and the smaller one is now also green and there's green tape on the tank now I see. I wish that I had taken a photo on the day it looked pink in the afternoon sun. Perhaps it was just empty and I'm going senile early? I was sitting in the hot sun for two hours after all.

Wait ....not yet .....

I'm not gonna go back through 6 pages ...didn't the OP say he had TEN vehicles insured ....?
Maybe ....maybe .....one of those would have been more suitable for towing ....🤷
I wanted to test the Maverick out. You pick for the next time. OK, truth be told, I towed the 31' RV with the F-350 Superdoodie this morning less than 20 miles. Here's my trucks:

All I'm expecting is for this truck to commute 100+ miles to work daily, take a few long trips, haul a few light loads and not break for for a few years. Then I'll be retired and just chilling and travelling for fun.

For $40k, I hope that's not asking for too much. I'm glad that I bought the 7-year/100,000 mile warranty from Ford. I used Ford Pass Points and bought a jump starter as I expect the 12v battery will discharge or fail periodically. I used to own a '14 Fusion Hybrid and sold it to my brother last year, then ordered this truck.
Can you tell me what the extended warranty cost? Currently in the market for a maverick.

@Gene465 choose a different state to get pricing ideas. Then if you decide to order from them use an address of a friend, family member, or heck UPS store for that matter from any state but FL or CA, as both those states restrict sales of warranties from outside sellers. No physical paperwork is mailed. Everything is handled via email.

Duh, Thanks that worked! Nice to have an idea, I checked elsewhere thinking they were cheaper than the dealer and it would cost over 2x as much!

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around calling something small and light enough for the maverick tow on a dolly a "caddy"!

must bee one of those "alphalacs" that GM built from the parts bin and slapped more letter and Cadillac logos on.

😱:rolleyes::teehee:

Well, I'm the youngest of seven and a family of opinionated, loud talking people who are always right but love each other to death. We have to be mindful to use our inside voices when we go to a restaurant together. It's even worse with the nieces and nephews or some extended family with cousins 🤣

Glad that you got it repaired. I figured that it was an improper bleed procedure because when I bled a F-150 hybrid, it was a complicated procedure requiring the use of the scan tool. I'm glad I read the instructions first, or my customer may have had the same problem you had. I had just replaced the SOBDMC WHICH REQUIRED DRAINING THE SECONDARY COOLING SYSTEM. Hopefully this is the beginning of many many miles of safe travels. 👍🏾
