Tire pressure: I had a '22 EB and when my ordered '24 hybrid arrived I noticed on the drive home from the dealer that it rode like a buckboard compared to the '22. The tire pressure was 45 psi from the factory.

When I had my tires rotated at Discount Tire I asked them to torque to 100. They would not do it [liability] so I did it with my torque wrench at home. I used a 1/2" drive socket with a breaker bar, lead pipe, and reset the torque. Since I drive on paved street and freeways I am confident 100 psi torque works safely for my driving situation.
Your dealer does not seem to be competent. If your tire pressure was not reduced from the shipping pressure as per normal Ford PL/PD requirements, perhaps they also failed to do the proper top-ups and inspections as well. Is it safe to drive with all the lugnuts checked, headlight alignment checked and all the other basic safety inspections? Take it back to them and have them actually do the pre-delivery work that they were paid to do this time.

Thanks, Mr. Oscarat. From the replies, the over-pressuring of the tires seems to be a factory issue that was not corrected before (Dealer)delivery. I am certain the Ford Vehicle Dynamics Engineer has some thoughts on why 35PSI was placarded. There were very mixed replies on the 148/Lbs of wheel torque.

Cars used to be placarded with an "efficiency" PSI and a "comfort" PSI. The efficiency PSI on my Volvo is about 4 PSI higher than the comfort one.

I'm guessing 35 PSI is the combo between efficient and comfort. I set 40 PSI personally for normal pavement driving.

148ft lbs is really not that tight. Easily achieved with a 2ft 1/2 drive torque wrench. You could always carry a rubber mallet to smack the lug wrench if you have noodle arms.
I wanted to add that after switching to solid, one piece lug nuts and torquing to 148 my brakes are much less prone to groaning and squealing. Happy about that.

35 psi and 148 ft lbs is correct.
That seems to vary somewhat.

My 2025 lariat hybrid (w. 4k if it matters) says 35 36.

edited for typo. 36 both on door and fordpass

All years of all models with all oem tires are supposed to be at 35psi and use 148ft-lbs lugnut torque (the same as on the F150 since they use the same M14 size lugnuts).
They ship the tires at 45psi to prevent flatspotting while sitting for up to 2 months awaiting delivery, and one of the dealer pl/pd items is to reduce that to 35psi.

Hi Bernie O - RE: 45 psi at time of delivery = I think the guys who did the Pre Delivery Inspection, PDI, were careless. I'm not fond of Ford dealer service. It's just that Ford comes up with very compelling products; T-Bird, Mustang, etc. and now the Maverick trucklet.

I keep a Cordless air compressor in my vehicles. I can usually limp my way to a tire repair shop vs actually having to change a tire.
I keep an air compressors along with the tire repair kit in all of our vehicles.
Out in Nevada and Utah where I live and travel signs like this happen. 👇👇👇👇👇

I'm not limping to any tire shop.
You have already driven 30 miles before you get to this sign. And there ain't no EV chargers at that station.

My, "wish I had a real lug wrench" will not remove my lug nuts. On day 4 of ownership, I removed the POS tin/aluminum covered lug nuts and replaced them with full steel, 7/8" lug nuts. Stopped at HF and bought a 24" break over handle, it rides under the rear seat. Stopped at a local pawn shop and bought a 7/8" impact socket for a dollar. You just haven't had a good time until ou spin one of those POS lug covers and you are out in the boon tooleys without mega tools to find what fits the lug after you chew that POS cover off with your teeth because you are that mad. My wife's Edge has real lug, the break over and impact socket also. I have never worried about torque. Snug'em with the breakoverand then skootch them. Drive a 100 miles and skootch them again. Aluminum wheels need to go thru a heat cycle, and the second skootch assures they are not coming lose.
