If we end up waiting for 23 it would be nice if its only a couple thousand of an upgrade and has serious upgrades. If not Im happy to have mine and use the pages to see how many hard parts I can take from it to upgrade mine.I am waiting for the Rattler also! Hoping it comes out as a 2023 model
This was a photo of the original release. Not new. With the top portion of the grille being covered I wonder if there will be a slightly different grille.
Probably 2 or 3 new colors available and a new package since there won’t be a First Edition.
I do have to say, the most annoying thing about waiting for our Maverick is that we have essentially parked our F150 because it is the trade-in vehicle of the deal. That and Ford's treatment of small dealers and customers who placed orders (the smallest dealer of all, apparently).View attachment 40461
EDIT: photo is from 2020/21.
I searched and didn't happen to see a thread for this stuff.
For all of us in the camp of 2022 orders pushed back to '23 or anyone newly looking at a 2023.
(POST all the 2023 Mav. intel, spy shots, and info in this thread)
.....side note, I might consider an Eruption Green Maverick
- Maybe new colors?
- Bigger touchscreen?
- Fixes?
- Package changes?
EDIT: these are just my fake March prediction placeholders. I have no info on 2023 myself. If you do please post in this thread with sources.
They'll probably decide it's cheaper to pay off the law suits than fix all those gas tanks.Hopefully they fixed the go boom gas tank if rear ended.
Dunno, if it's anything like the issue with Jeep Liberty gas tanks, it'll end up getting fixed. Although in the Liberty's case it ended up with Chrysler giving every LIbby owner a free hitch receiver instead of a gas tank replacement. Gas tank issues are serious business. They'll probably decide it's cheaper to pay off the law suits than fix all those gas tanks.
+1 to this.Hopefully awd hybrid. Should be easy since escape already has it. Would probably cancel my eco order for that. Seems insane they only offer hybrid in fwd on a truck yet escape suv gets it.
or run over some speed bumsJust pop the door panel and drop some marbles or ball bearings in there. Presto: instant Rattler!
I love it when people say with confidence "should be easy". The reality is they are probably losing money on every base XL hybrid they sell. They're just not going to add additional parts that has to be accounted for in every step from ordering, procurement, bills of materials, updating code in parts lists, parts scanners (bar code readers, etc), extra training for line workers, and retesting/certifying the modified configuration vehicle through EPA and other agencies. It's not a simple case of going into the parts room in the back of an Auto parts store and grabbing boxes off the shelf and running them out to the production line for installation. Not "easy" by any definition.Hopefully awd hybrid. Should be easy since escape already has it. Would probably cancel my eco order for that. Seems insane they only offer hybrid in fwd on a truck yet escape suv gets it.
I got your eruption Green right hereSomething about "Eruption Green" makes me want to advise you to see a doctor soon.
It was a reference to the pinto. It would blow up if hit hard enough in the rear end. They'll probably decide it's cheaper to pay off the law suits than fix all those gas tanks.
