Mine is a weekend driverApparently, you’ve not driven hybrid.
And if you think the hybrid is fast, then apparently you've not driven an ecoboost.Apparently, you’ve not driven hybrid.
Don't do it.......I had 2 hybrids ordered......switched one to EB........still NOTHING for EITHER one!!! Both ordered day one, and confirmed 9/16 by FORD!!!! FORD=Factory Orders Rarely Done!!!!I have a XLT Hybrid order with Lux package, ordered MY23 last Sept when the order bank opened. I am getting to the point I am seriously considering switching to EcoBoost because I need a truck more than the 10mpg improvement.
But this news brings new hope, or do you guys think switching to EB might be a better choice in my case? I can still switch with same price?
Thanks!
Omg thanks!Don't do it.......I had 2 hybrids ordered......switched one to EB........still NOTHING for EITHER one!!! Both ordered day one, and confirmed 9/16 by FORD!!!! FORD=Factory Orders Rarely Done!!!!
I haven't had a chance to drive either one. None on my local dealer's lot.Apparently, you’ve not driven hybrid.
My thoughts exactly. 14% more than previous Hybrid portion of the mix.If the bump is 40% from 35% it is closer to a 14% increase in the number of hybrids built not 5%. Sorry the CPA coming out in me.
Ford= Factory Orders Rarely Delivered. Fixed that for you.Don't do it.......I had 2 hybrids ordered......switched one to EB........still NOTHING for EITHER one!!! Both ordered day one, and confirmed 9/16 by FORD!!!! FORD=Factory Orders Rarely Done!!!!

It's an option to buy that costs you nothing. Thanks for everyone who responded, I think I'll hold onto my hybrid order for now and keep waiting.

To be clear, this is not an option to buy because it's not available for you to buy. Only when they have it built and call you to pick up, it then is an option to buy. Right now it's just a deposit you put down for a position in an iffy queue. It's an option to buy that costs you nothing.
I have discovered that I almost like waiting. I thought about ordering a Ranger, just so I could be on a Ford list.
My dealer didn't want a deposit. When and if it becomes available, I will be able to purchase it - or not.
