I have 1st Edition, tow package Lariat-
Someone ordered it , and declined it when delivered, I was there and bought it-
All the options are needed for me- I would be very wanting if I did not have Lariat-
But for under 40k it’s awesome
I fit - I’m 6-5 , 260-
25 -31 mpg
Only drawback is I’m part of tank recall-
1 week plus waiting so far-

Screw that. Give us the ST with the 2.7TT!
That would be a fun project! I picture a full tube chassis with Mav sheetmetal, tubbed, a properly tuned 2.7/10AT mounted the "proper way" ;) driving the rear wheels. Modern pro-street Maverick, if you will. The right set-up should get you in the 10's I bet....

Chip, are you ready to make your sketch real??

Wish the 2.3 L was an available option. That would be one heck of a sport truck -)
Mine is the V8. Which chugs gas at a rate that even a drunken sailor would say is too much.

Seriously, I'm happy if I get 18 mpg or less then half of what I'm getting on the Maverick.

Our 2019 RAV4 comes standard with AWD. The mileage (EPA) is about the same as the Mav, but the RAV4 has a bigger battery: 1.6 kWh vs. 1.1 in the Mav.
Interesting. You are correct. The mileage is basically the same. The RAV4 is roughly 100lbs heavier. I can’t see losing that much MPG for the extra weight.

My mind went Maverick this afternoon and I came up with a few catchy terms. Ford already has a Mustang and Maverick in it's stable. With that said, the ST version would be a Stallion Maverick. Graphics, chrome bumpers and aluminum wheels are all in play. A Roush package would be a natural addition as well.

A Heavy Duty package would have a larger Ecoboost engine like the Stallion. Addition equipment would be a larger radiator, brake rotors and shoes, AWD, FX4, 4k tow. I'm debating whether a leveling kit, heavier suspension, winch, electronic shift-on-the-fly, and trailer brake controller would be too much.

During @fordvideoguy 's Saturday morning members only lot walk video had some exciting new news regarding the MY23 version. I'd share, but other members might disagree.

things for the 2023

Better quality control.. my hybrid xlt built in April was delivered with a coolant leak. it took the local dealer and one of their best tech 7 hours to fix it. that's an easy $1000 job outside warranty.

The tech guy explained that the seal around the faulty part was insufficient and needed to be completely removed / replaced. Luckily it took only 24h to order the part.

powered rear slide windows optional for xlt.. right now they all come manual.. and only the lariat has the powered slide window….

optional leather seat trim for xlt..

60/40 split rear seats is.a must, i too have kids sitting there and i can't imagine having to remove the kid seats first to access the car jack.

i don't like the sunroof built in mesh deflector. A plastic one would be easier to clean.

sync 3/4

gas pedal pad. I hate the bare plastic tiny gas pedal.. i had to buy one off amazon.

fog light

I'm pretty sure navigation can be added now. I've been playing around with FDRS and FORScan and have turned on navigation so it shows up on the touchscreen as one of the buttons along the bottom. I knew when I touched the button I would get an error code but it's just because our apim is not a nav unit. Should be able to swap one from the Bronco Sport and just program our vin in and Nav.

I'll go ahead and delve in further but pretty confident I'll have nav as soon as I can track down a nav apim. ;)

Agree with the piano roof.
I'd also like to see better quality material used. I find the interior panels are easily scratched and I baby all of my vehicles.

I think we all know that, but Ford seems to Not communicate with anyone. I would have had NO word at all if ,I did not email and or call them or the dealer . That makes people a little peeed off.they seem to have not much of a PR dept. Its a shame, 99% I bought off the lot and or they found me one I wanted, my last order was 1995 ,and took 6 weeks, the dealer and factory even called me to update on it.I guess im from old school and customer service was a Big deal. not anymore, sad. I talked to my dealer, and called Ford customer service, last week just to make sure mine ( my wifes) was still on order.
