My 2010 Fusion Hybrid, not my Maverick Hybrid ;)

Only powertrain work it has had besides oil changes is replacement of one fuel injector and a free dealer installed firmware upgrade of the battery and powertrain control modules.

That is fantastic!!! That Fusion have a 2.0 EB engine or similar to the Maverick engine?

This is encouraging. My take on the mav hybrid powertrain is that it's basically a tweaked 3rd or 4th gen toyota 2.5l powertrain. Ford licensed Toyota engine+ecvt tech from about 2005 till just a few years ago.

I have a feeling these mav's and escapes will go hundreds of thousands miles barring rust, deer/distracted driver impacts, or poor service intervals.

How many miles have you had that fusion?

FWIW, I bought a 2006 escape hybrid, and gave it to my son. He traded it in for $2000 with almost 300,000 miles on it.

From 2010 to 2012 the Fusion Hybrid had the same basic 2.5L engine as current Maverick Hybrid. From 2013 to 2020 they downsized the engine to 2.0L but it was still the same block and head, just a different bore and stroke.

The early Fusion Hybrids batteries were nickel–metal hydride and also air cooled. Unlike the lithium and water cooled/heated ones in the Maverick. Therefore they were a little less complex.

Yep, NY city cabbies drove those early Escape Hybrids over 300K miles and they were still going strong.

I have only replaced my brake pads once and they still have plenty of pad left.

Sweet! Drove a 2021 hybrid escape to see if I liked the Ford hybrid. My used Pruis has horrible acceleration. Big difference!
