Two months after I picked up my maverick. I ordered a Mach 1 hp in mischievous purple. Looks good next to my other fords.

I've been thinking about this for months now. Car enthusiasts are always thinking about what comes next. I have the maverick, that's my go to, does everything car. It's comfortable, reliable, fuel efficient, can haul whatever I need, etc.

But I'm thinking of what car to park alongside it. As most of the people on these forums are car enthusiasts, I want their feedback on this. Right now, I'm thinking of one of these once they depreciate more in a few years, or an s650 mustang. They're apparently far more reliable than most used mid engine exotics, and I think they're the best looking car lotus ever made. I'm trying to have the most varied ownership experience I can with as few cars as possible.

I don't know, brainstorm some ideas with me.
I pick the harley

By the way you can haul a gt 350 with the maverick. It’s over the 4k with trailer but seems fine to me.
And I would second a gt350.
Oh and my maverick pulls the mach 1 like nothing.

I really like the Evora. My buddy has one, and he has spun a bearing, but he tracks it (he's a professional driver) at a high level. I believe it's just a Toyota V6 in it? I didn't think much about the car, or really even knew it existed before he bought it. Since spending some time with it, I came around to really liking it. I like the simple things like that it uses the same front and rear control arms.

I toy with what cars I might want next... I was looking at C7's for a bit, considered a C8, and then was introduced to a 9k mile Saturn Sky Redline and bought it on impulse. I actually love the car. And of course, I took straight to changing a few things and using it as it's meant to be used.

I've had this car for a little over a decade. It's changed a little since this picture was taken a few years ago. I don't know if I can get rid of it. The white M3 on the right belongs to the guy with the Evora.

We've currently got 7 vehicles, some RZR's, and a tractor (which is one of my better purchases). I hope one day I can feel like I will be fine with just two vehicles. One day...

Not today though!!!
Never gonna happen flash forward 10 years your gonna have more. Every year I keep saying that and every year I end up with something new. And I can’t seem to let go of what I have. Have 11 currently and hope to add the ranger raptor this fall.
You are also spot on with the tractor. I just picked up a swinger with a bunch of attachments last year and it’s amazing.

Guys who appreciate great performance cars? ;) Ya, we hates those guys!
I was thinking more of the pompous a hole with a horse shoe hair cut that grows a pony tail and thinks nobody gonna notice the bald spot up top. That type. Lots of great performances cars that don’t require you to pretend to be better than everyone else. Lol

If you can’t tell I’m a ford guy. And my views may be shaped by one person in my youth when it comes to Vette’s but I stick by it. Lol
For the record I’m bald so I get a pass on that insult. I just do t try and grow a pony tail.

I should also add that if you’re looking for just a fun car that’s different. I have two rx8’ rotary cars and they are a blast. Obviously not super fast but having a two stroke that revs to 10k is just fantastic. Well and better balance, and brakes than a Miata. Only picture I have of it right now. But you get the idea

My 2022 Maverick does stay in a 2 car garage next to my wife's car. BUT my 2007 Mustang GT has its own garage with "do not touch my Mustang" sign up.

I love all the cars in the responses but have to say the Lotus stirs my soul. Have you driven one yet? I'd suggest driving the cars and see which one puts the biggest smile on your face. My Maverick shares garage space with a GT6 (love the looks) and an A-H Bugeye (love the go cart handling). BTW, I hope the poster of the old Lucus joke is a current owner of a British car as that joke was copyrighted last century by folks who didn't maintain their systems and the (joke) can only be told by current owners of cars with Lucus systems.

If you read all the posts on this forum, wouldn't you assume this guy was the average Maverick owner?

at least 60 percent. Not sure whether it would be the hybrid owners or the ecoboost but it definitely fits.

A Lotus? Reliable??? Have they really changed THAT much?
I suppose everything is relative, since NASA showed us that with enough HP, even a pig can fly.
Seriously though... Life is an adventure and you can turn your fun car over as often as you like. If you do your own work you might make a different choice than if you have lots of cash and don't mind paying someone else. If you use the same philosophy with women, please post how that works out. The rest of us poor sods can live vicariously through you! LOL 😁
