Anyone park their Maverick in a 1 & 1/2 car garage?

My garage door was 87" wide. The Maverick barely fit, with 1-2" clearance on each side with the mirrors unfolded. I bit the bullet and spent $6K to put in a 9' wide door. The cost was on the high side, since they had to put in a new door header. HUGE difference on my comfort level parking it in the garage, particularly on icy days when I was really concerned about sliding sideways and hitting the door frame.

I have a Prius, Maveric, 2 Honda 650 Hawks and an 1100 Honda plus the usual water heater, washer/dryer, roll around tool box and two work benches. I have 1 foot between cars and inches front, back and side of my truck in a standard 2 car garage. I have a pole stick I run into or use marks on the floor I see with my rear view camera in order to know I am in far enough.

That's what the Low gear is for in a maverick - to creep around the obstructions - works well
