I've been thinking about this for months now. Car enthusiasts are always thinking about what comes next. I have the maverick, that's my go to, does everything car. It's comfortable, reliable, fuel efficient, can haul whatever I need, etc.

But I'm thinking of what car to park alongside it. As most of the people on these forums are car enthusiasts, I want their feedback on this. Right now, I'm thinking of one of these once they depreciate more in a few years, or an s650 mustang. They're apparently far more reliable than most used mid engine exotics, and I think they're the best looking car lotus ever made. I'm trying to have the most varied ownership experience I can with as few cars as possible.

I don't know, brainstorm some ideas with me.

I owned a 2011 Lotus Evora for 9 years. My car is almost exactly like the one you posted! It was a amazing handling car. Very reliable as it had the Toyota Camry V6. I say get one if you can! It is a unique driving expertise that you'll never have from most cars. Especially in the twist and turns!

Me thinks that Wifeys 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid looks just fine, next to my Maverick (That hasn't broken down in over 3 weeks now.) her Toyota hasn't suffered from computer freeze or a dead battery or had a stack of Recalls on it like the Maverick.

Love it, if you don't mind me asking, what's the serving situation like? I've heard some people say you can take it to a Toyota dealership for any work pertaining to the powertrain, others have said no, that's not the case. Is the maintenance/insurance pretty reasonable?

I love these things, I'm just wondering if there's a "catch" if you know what I mean.

Blinding stupidity is an option. Like my Dustbuster that may or may not have a supercharged 3800.

Great color. I REALLY like the Emira (not that I can afford it), but every time I see someone doing a review of one, it is obvious that Lotus basically added an all-new interior and a body kit to the Evora as a stop-gap until they could get EVs/CUVs out. For a driver, seems like the Evora might be the sensible move.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Aztec as a future collectible....

Most of the service I did on the Lotus was done by me. Oil change and window regulator is all I had to do. I did have a ignition coil go bad and it also fouled the spark plug in that cylinder so I took it to my local mechanic that I use for other "regular' cars like my SUV. He first said he would not work on it, but I asked if he did Toyotas and of course he said yes. I said this engine is the exact same. He replaced the coil and plug and it ran perfectly again. Other than that, it was extremely reliable and now I had the mechanic on my side if I needed him in the future.
