Could this fit in the Maverick engine bay? Currently used in the Lincoln Nautilus with a combined HP of 310. Maybe 360 HP with the “Big Turbo” from the 300T Ford Performance Maverick?

If you are talking about the motor, its already in the 25+ mavericks.

I know they make the 2.0T hybrid. Be nice if they would start doing more of that in the Mavericks. Really wish they had a plug in hybrid engine option.

The Maverick uses an Atkinson engine while the Nautilus uses the 2.0 EB Turbo engine in their Hybrid.

Not sure if they both use the same electric motors, although the $90k Nautilus shares the same battery problems (per “google”):

### Overview of Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid Battery Issues
The Lincoln Nautilus hybrid (introduced in the 2024 redesign with a 2.0L full hybrid powertrain combining a gas engine and electric motor) has faced notable complaints about battery problems, primarily affecting the **12V auxiliary battery** rather than the high-voltage hybrid traction battery. These issues are most commonly reported in 2024 models, the first year of the hybrid system, and stem from software glitches, parasitic drain from advanced electronics (e.g., infotainment, BlueCruise), and low initial charge states due to shipping delays. The high-voltage battery (which powers the electric drive) has fewer widespread reports of failure, though some owners note reduced efficiency tied to overall electrical issues. No major recalls specifically target the hybrid battery as of November 2025, but technical service bulletins (TSBs) and customer satisfaction programs (CSPs) address related concerns. Many problems resolve with software updates or battery replacements under warranty.

### Common Battery Problems
- **12V Battery Drain and Failure**: Owners report rapid discharge, leading to "deep sleep" mode (where features shut off to conserve power), no-start conditions, and towing needs. This can occur after short trips, cold weather, or even overnight parking. Symptoms include warning messages like "features going into deep sleep to conserve battery," declining fuel economy (e.g., dropping from 30+ mpg to lower), and intermittent electronics failures (e.g., infotainment blackouts, BlueCruise malfunctions).
- Frequency: High in early 2024 builds; some owners report 3–5 replacements within 10 months.
- Causes: Excessive draw from always-on modules (e.g., keyless entry, telematics); batteries arriving at dealers under 70% charge after transit; undersized or faulty AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries.
- **High-Voltage Hybrid Battery Concerns**: Less common, but some link it to overall system inefficiency, such as the engine running more frequently due to low charge, mimicking "conserve mode." Isolated cases mention hybrid-related electrical faults, but these often trace back to the 12V system (which powers vehicle controls).
- No evidence of widespread hybrid battery pack failures, unlike some older Ford/Lincoln hybrids.

### Reported Fixes and Owner Experiences
- **Software Updates**: Lincoln has released multiple CSPs (e.g., 24P14 and 24P08) to reduce parasitic drain by optimizing module sleep cycles. Many owners see resolution after dealer-applied updates, though some report recurring issues if not all modules are reflashed.
- **Battery Replacement/Charging**: Dealers often replace the 12V battery (warranty-covered for 3 years/36,000 miles) and recommend trickle chargers (e.g., NOCO Genius5) for infrequent drivers. Service messages (SSM 52285) instruct charging to at least 70% before delivery.
- **Owner Tips**:
- Drive 25+ miles regularly to recharge.
- Use a battery maintainer if the vehicle sits >30 days.
- Monitor via the FordPass app for low SOC (state of charge) alerts.
- **Lemon Law/Buyback Cases**: Frustrated owners (e.g., those with 4–5 service visits) have pursued buybacks under state lemon laws, especially in Florida and Texas. Some Reddit users describe the 2024 as a "lemon" due to unresolved software-battery interplay.

### Reliability Context and Recommendations
Consumer Reports rates the 2024 Nautilus below average for reliability, citing electrical and hybrid system issues, with predictions for the 2025 model improving slightly as bugs are ironed out. Forums like LincolnForums and NautilusTalk show ~20–30% of hybrid owners discussing battery woes, but many report issue-free ownership after updates. If you're experiencing this:
- Visit a Lincoln dealer for diagnostics and updates (free under warranty).
- Check for open TSBs via Lincoln's service site or NHTSA.gov.
- For 2025 models, issues appear reduced, but monitor for patterns.
