Last night leaving work had a dead battery. Jump started it and let it run / drove around for about 55 minutes. This morning dead battery again. At the dealer now. I’ll post what they find.

Hmmm. I had been turning off my auto start/stop but if I hadn’t maybe I would have been seeing the same.
I’m laughing to myself in the ford waiting chairs that as I write this my ford pass just alerted about shutting down services due to low battery voltage. Guess they’ll be seeing the problem first hand.

Ill keep an eye on my truck. A few weeks ago i got s notification from the ford app saying that remote start thru the app was delisabled and will become active again once i turn the vehicle on with the key. Didnt say anything about battery being low but I remember it saying something about sleep mode.

I got the same notification yesterday from the app. Makes me wonder if a battery issue is in my future

Just to help anyone I can, this was the ford pass message:

Your Mike’s Maverick equipped with FordPass(TM) Connect has entered Deep Sleep mode to conserve battery energy. Remote features including start/stop and lock/unlock may be temporarily unavailable because your battery charge level is low.

You can easily fix this yourself by going for a longer ride. Make sure to keep your air conditioning and accessories off during this drive to recharge your battery faster.

If your vehicle doesn’t start:
- Jump start it then take it for a drive to recharge the battery
- Contact your preferred dealer for further service if needed

Try disabling Fordpass connectivity in the vehicle setting to rule out if that is source of the battery drain. You won't be able to get vehicle status, location, remote start/lock/unlock thru the app.
A side benefit is that data logging / diagnostic won't be sent back to Ford.

I have had these issues as well. Never had a vehicle with remote start before but it sure is nice when it's frosty... If it works.

Had the same message, only once but I hope it was just a one time thing. It is 3 degrees here this morning I'll go see if it will start.

Just heard from the dealer. Bad battery. I saw other posts about that. Glad it was an easy fix.
Glad to hear it was only a bad battery. I too use to turn off the start/stop. I then unplugged the connection at the batt to eliminate the start/stop which caused a battery error code. next, I paid the $100 for the start/stop Eliminator. Best $100 ever spent……the joy of not worrying about pushing the dang start/stop button is priceless.

Serious question. What is it that bothers you so much about it? You're not moving anyway and it is quick to start back up. I guess I'm just not seeing the negative.

Solar trickle charger on the dash would help.

For me, I dislike the delay, the wear on the starter, the reduced HVAC When in stop mode. The negatives for me outweigh the positives. I float right around 30mpg with a 50/50 mix driving. I have seen zero difference with the stop/start disabled. I’m sure results could very depending on how much time the motor is off.

To each his own
