Different rail lines require different input. I tracked mine for 37 days successfully through CSX, BNSF, Norfolk Southern, and Union Pacific, so I had to learn through help from others how they differed. The automated line I referenced in the original comment was for only one of the rail company lines and will not work for them all.

Thanks i was lucky my truck seems to be limited to Norfolk Southern.

First is was too many hybrids, then no toneau covers or sib, then chip shortage and now with my truck finally completed shitting in Flat Rock MI, there is a shortage of truck drivers to get my truck to the Cleveland area. My god, it seems like the government is running Ford. Ordered 6/29 and still waiting. Just an xl with tow hitch and floor mats.

The rail car letter identifiers. For example if yours is "TTGX123456", the first part of the number that you quoted would be "81814192" instead because the letter "T" is the 1st letter on the 8 key (on a phone), hence the "81", the "G" is the 1st letter on the 4 key, hence the "41", and the "X" is the 2nd letter on the 9 key, hence "92". Then the following number on the chain that you quoted would be the rail car number.

When you call in they ask for the alpha portion separate from the numeric, TTGX is 8849. I have been tracking mine for 2 weeks.

I have been doing 8849 and it comes back saying it doesn't understand me.

Do you mean if your VIN showed up in the link I posted? If so, no, that just gives you the load number which you can use to look up your vehicle once you sign into the OVISS site. If you did sign into the OVISS site and looked up your load number associated with your dealer it would show an actual delivery receipt that you could click on and see that the driver got a signature when they dropped it off at the dealer.

I just got an email from my dealer letting me know the location of my truck. Assembly was completed on April 19....and now it is sitting in a rail car in a BIG train yard in Nogales, Mexico just over the border from Arizona. Ferrocarrilera, Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to be exact.
I am guessing it will sit there until semi-truck transport is available to carry it the rest of the way to Florida.....OR.....maybe it's a customs thing and once that's done the train will bring it closer to Florida and then transfer to a truck. Who knows? At any rate, it is SUPPOSED to get to my dealer by May 16-22.
