The only call I got yesterday, was from my dealer to inform me, that if I kept the toolbox on my order, I would never see my Maverick.

The visibility report only works if you have a VIN, otherwise nobody can tell you anything. So then it comes down to the vagaries of the priority and allocation system which nobody either at Ford or the dealers seem willing or able to decipher for the customer. My dealer sends me the updated Vehicle Visibility Report every Monday morning. It has really made it a lot easier to wait. I don't feel like I have to refresh Tracker 15 times a day hoping that it's working and that it has SOMETHING new to tell me.
That is correct, I just confirmed that with Ford CS.My order was confirmed the same day you ordered, and my truck has already gone out to the external Body Company for its SIBL. But now it's on chip hold. I think chip hold is a much bigger issue than SIBL. My understanding was that the LUX package SIBL takes precedence over an add-on SIBL. If you were promised the SIBL, you're still supposed to get it. If they can't give it to you in your LUX package, they will simply substitute the DIBL. Hang in there. Your Window Sticker will say which you are getting.
I'm pretty sure everytime you change your order it automatically resets the "Ordered" date
When was the last time you changed your order
"Area 51Alto Blue XLT - Hybrid/Lux/CP360" ?
Good God I hope you're not right haha. I think I changed the color in Oct/Nov. The only reason I don't think that would matter is when people drop a constrained option/accessory and then get scheduled right away. From your signature line, it appears you changed the color. When did you do that? ? Could that change be your issue?
Yes, Ford needs to get serious about upgrading the way it treats customers! Otherwise they're going to be left with mostly stock orders. Great for dealerships, but lousy for customers...who will go elsewhere. The visibility report only works if you have a VIN, otherwise nobody can tell you anything. IMO the opacity of this system is really what's causing the dissatisfaction. I went from being fairly enthusiastic about this order to being jaded as hell. I still want the truck because it matches my wants and needs so closely, but it's not like I'd recommend the process to anyone. If Ford wants to go to a custom order model, they really need to open up the process and at least provide SOME information, even if it isn't exact. And try harder to handle custom orders FIFO. The june hybrid orders deserve better treatment than what they are getting. They are crapping all over the early adopters which is never a good idea.
I personally can't really complain given that guys like delzona are still waiting. I see similar orders from mid October getting scheduled, so I can only assume that it will be at least two weeks before I can even hope to see my late Oct order get a VIN. But it's all speculation at this point and the fact that it's just speculation is the real problem.
Was your SIBL an add on or part of the LUX package? My hybrid order from August 30th was scheduled on 2/17 at 12:07 pm. with a production date of April 18th. I was literally going to drop the SIBL because I felt it was holding things up.
Ford's allocation system and lack of visibility is another reason I call attention to it. I'm really hoping that Ford's management is working on changing the way it does their customer order system because it clearly is not winning long term customers! What is shocking and worrisome is that Ford has already gone through with the Bronco and is gearing up the F150 Lightning with no apparent changes to their allocation process! It really seems that Ford is just trying to weather the supply shortages storm thinking that once supply production returns to pre-pandemic levels all will be good and folks will only wait a few weeks instead of months or years! In the meantime customers are leaving because of the long wait or won't return in the future when considering a new vehicle because of this experience. The visibility report only works if you have a VIN, otherwise nobody can tell you anything. Don’t forget about the one from the princess in the Ivory Coast who knows you are a much trusted person.I did, still all Sharper Image, political solicitation, and wife's shoes and great skincare.
Can you even drop a SIBL from a First Edition?I just got off the phone with Ford CS, they told me that on my FE Lariat RR Hybrid, that the delay was the spray in bed liner and advised me to have the dealer change it to a drop in bed liner. Has any like mine received a production date recently?
