Nearly two years ago I traded my 23 cyber orange, heavily modified Maverick for a 24 F150. Last month I sold my F150 and bought a nice 2012 Fusion that I was planning to drive for a while as it was paid for. I couldn’t live without all the tech we’ve all become used to. So yesterday, I purchased a 25 eruption green 2.0 awd XLT with black appearance package. This is the color I special ordered, but wound up with the F150. I work for a dealer so we found this one close by and did a dealer trade. The deal was too good to pass up and with ford special rates right now, it was cheap. So I’m back. Not sure what the future holds as far as mods. I am going to install my original leather wrapped wheel from my hybrid in this truck for sure though. The 2.0 feels very spry compared to my hybrid. My state charges too many extra fees for hybrid so I learned that lesson last time. Anyways, here it is. Glad to be back! Also, keeping that Fusion as a spare…it’s too good to let go.

Amazing how that color changes based on the ambient light!

Welcome back, HRG

ps, just noticed that you're from Paragould AR. Used to visit a customer down there, and always enjoyed a catfish & hushpuppies lunch at a local diner.

I work at a dealership also. If they had an eruption green Maverick on our lot, I would have gotten it. And the black appearance package would have been icing on the cake. But alas, they only had and Oxford White with the black appearance package. In that case, the black appearance package was a necessity to keep it from looking like a fleet government vehicle 😅. Maybe by the next time I'm in the market for a new vehicle, they will offer eruption green again. That is such a beautiful color

I didn’t figure it would be this easy to find one. Literally three towns over and they had had it for 10 months. I will say that area is very much more economically depressed. I’m not saying that to say a Maverick is expensive, but that it’s a bad place to put a new car store. This one is sort of bare bones on the interior, but a deal is a deal. Your white is very clean and lends itself very well to the black accents. Beautiful truck in any right!

Yessir! We have a couple good spots in town. I’ve lived here my whole life save about six month in St. Louis and a couple years in Springfield Illinois.

....to think I almost didn't get Eruption Green when I ordered mine. That's what I get for trying to over think the g/f's reaction to the color....lol. Not that it would've mattered, but to hear it every day about something she didn't like almost drove me to Carbonized Grey but thankfully, she actually liked the color so, here I am in the Eruption Green club....lol.

Phew… I thought this was going to be a “truck or the girl” scenario. Looks like you chose wisely… twice!
When people think of a green car, it doesn’t sound good. When they see eruption green, it can change minds.

LOL, with my gf I had to make sure I got a Lariat so there would be dual climate controls or else my life would be miserable.

Why would a state charge more for a hybrid? What state are you in? Utah doesn't do that. Our annual registration on our vehicles is very reasonable. Our 2023 Lariat w/Lux hybrid FWD was $297 back in November. Our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4x4 long bed truck was $130.50 last summer and our classic 1996 Ford Bronco XLT was $90.50 last fall.

State gas taxes fund a lot of stuff. Hybrids don't use as much gas, so hybrid drivers don't contribute as much to the state. States add fees for hybrids to compensate for the difference. They do the same for EVs. Hybrids and EVs cause as much wear and tear on the roads as ICE vehicles do. Why shouldn't they contribute?

I completely understand that....in fact, the lowest temp selection "LO" is also the initials of her name, So I always say, "Well, there is cold and then there is LO cold......" dang hot flashes...it's hell getting older for the fairer sex....
