I gotta confess that my Maverick has grown on me over three years and 37,000 miles. I had instant buyer's remorse driving off the dealer lot, and looking at my ancient 2wd, single cab, 4 cylinder, manual shift Ranger in the rear view mirror.

Hated that the Mav had two more doors than I wanted, turned like an ocean liner, and had an unwanted automatic that seemed to shift every 5 seconds. Now all that has faded out of awareness and I just appreciate a roomy (maybe too roomy) truck, a comfy ride, a vastly better vehicle all things considered, that has been 100% reliable.

Drive like your barefoot and you got an egg under your toes on the gas pedal and your trying not to crush it.
I rarely notice any shifting. My eco holds gears and moves the tach up and down so very smoothly but it will get over excited like a kid on Coke If I get after it.
