I'm going to look for it, I know it has to be there because before I programmed it, the Ford logo was visible on the entire screen.

If you don’t find it tonight, I’ll look for it tomorrow when I’m off and let you know the name of it. I remember it being towards the bottom. Mine was way too big and set to the 14inch horizontal screen setting instead of 12inch landscape. Look at the right column when scrolling through in the EZ APIM menu and just look for something marked in inches related to it.

It seems that Ford makes APIM with GPS and without GPS.
The GPS antenna connector should be there, but this APIM doesn't have it.

Do we know what the middle brown connector is next to the display connector?

Frustratingly so, the slight pop and crackle when playing USB audio is back.

Just to be clear, Bluetooth audio works without flaw. I have tried both the USB C & A ports as well as another phone. No matter what there is a crackling sound that shows up randomly. Sometimes three times a song and sometimes ten times a song.

Harness? APIM? Software? Super frustrating as I often want to charge my phone in the car and be able to use maps and this currently ruins the music experience.

How did you guys who already had a Sync 3 APIM remount it? Did cables get in the way or were you able to use the stock bracket screw holes?

I'm asking myself the same question and no one can tell me...
I know it's an antenna connector, but I don't know which one.
Is it the satellite radio antenna?

All of this works perfectly for me.
I would check the harness to see if there is any bad cable. Are the cables all soldered?

There’s a setting in Forscan for the APIM towards the bottom that’ll let you set the size. I can’t remember the exact name but just skim through and you’ll see it’s probably set to something small by default

Another thing I don't have is the keypad configuration to open the door. I guess it's because I used an APIM configuration for an XLT and it shouldn't have a keypad.

Big update!

The back up camera works! I remade a new harness today which entirely fixed my back up camera issue.

It also narrowed down my static popping issue to my biggest fear, it’s the APIM or the software version installed on the APIM.

I put my old Sync3 APIM back in and music played flawlessly, but even with a new harness this Sync4 APIM still has the faintest crackling sound.

Though everyone that’s been in the truck says they don’t really even notice, I am annoying and do notice. So it seems I will be in the market for a new APIM next month (and I can fix the navigation for the heck of it while I do).

Luck of the draw! But incredibly happy with the progress today. We are 95% of the way there.

Your BCM in the passenger foot well has your keyless entry key code printed on it it's the first five numbers of the code listed.

I still can't believe how nice this setup is.

Also, I got the rear view camera to work in Easy mode in Forscan.

I disabled ''digital rear camera" and then it worked. I'm guessing the Maverick camera doesn't send a digital signal?

801Mavs mounting solution is significantly better and more clever than mine, so if anyone is wondering just go with his!
Here’s some photos from the front and back of how it turned out now that everything is secured

Will be purchasing a different APIM next month to fix the slight audio issue. It’s not bad enough to really bother me for now.

Update! New APIM purchased.

2021 manufacturing date with Nav this time. I guess I’ll cross my fingers and update you guys sometime this weekend with if it fixed my audio issue and how navigation worked out.
