i just did this swap as well, although now i am noticing the heated mirrors turn themselves back on every time the engine restarts from start/stop. I don't think the maverick unit did this, only turned them on once when i started the car
i flashed the escape module to the maverick as built and...
Update on this.. with the programming matching the escape, the heated mirrors are turning themselves back on automatically every time the engine restarts from start/stop.
Will flash the maverick as built, since i don't want to keep turning them off
Yep there was a thread about it a while back. On the lariats the heated mirrors come on automatically when temps are less than 50*. After swapping in the escape hvac module that “feature” persists
I’ll do something experimenting to see if I can get it to stop coming on automatically
I meant “automatically coming on” when I start the car. Would prefer if they didn’t come on unless I press the button since the majority of the time it’s dry conditions
So with the Escape HVAC mirrored to Mav settings, it looks like the side mirrors are coming on with temps <50. Damn it!
I will try stock escape settings to see if that changes things…I don’t want to loose my heated mirrors
Yes which is odd, because I have a Lariat lux but the options are disabled in my hvac control. I would have assumed they would be enabled from the factory
With my factory Mav hvac, they did come on when the temp was <50, which I hated lol.
In the next hour or so when the temp drops I can confirm if this is still the case.
Can someone post a screenshot of their as built for a Lariat HVAC module?
Would like to compare and see why mine had certain settings that didn't correlate to my trucks specs?
Heated Mirror Output Relay: Not Active <- My truck has heated mirrors?
Heated Side Mirrors: Disabled <- My truck has...
First, this is a super easy upgrade for anyone that already has a Lariat with dual climate control!
Note: there are a few different variations of this control panel, the one I got is: LJ6T-18C612-GB which includes the *lighted* chrome bar. There are other part numbers that include an...
Looks great! I’m ready to do this swap as well just not sure exactly what needs to be changed in forscan.
Did you copy Bills as-built from earlier in this thread, or what needs to be changed? Didn’t see any other programming suggestions. I’m using the 12” and apim from a transit
thanks!
