I keep having an aiming issue of backing in to a spot using the rear camera. For instance, when I backed into this space, the white lines on the rear camera image were perfectly parallel with the parking spot lines as I backed in. As you can see, it's not straight in real life.

Is there a way to aim and adjust the camera like you can with headlights?

Nope. That's off by quite a bit. If you're still under warranty, you may want to bring this up with your dealer. Perhaps the camera itself is not glued in correctly from the factory into the Ford logo on the back.

I’m old school, this is my first vehicle ever with a back up camera and I still haven’t or can’t get used to it. I still use rear views and look out the back glass. Just hard for me to trust it lol

I'm crooked whenever I use the camera for positioning. It's likely the distortion caused by the wide angle lens, curving the image. - Usually there's a service-calibration mode to shift the lines.

Typically you press up, down, left, right, or some combination of the edges to enter that mode, sometimes after turning off the display, sometimes immediately upon ignition on without starting. We just need to figure out the voodoo steps for the Maverick system.

It's not the camera it's the software - or at least you can confirm first - see exactly the same amount of bumper on each side of middle of screen?

They'll have to run a calibrate process to get those lines where they should be.

It looks like one of my parking jobs. I usually try to find a place where I can pull through then use the camera to get the rear bumper aligned with the white line in the back.

I guess I'll wait until they get the camera recall software sorted out. Maybe Ford can re-calibrate when they install that.

Same issue with the ford van I use at work. Try ignoring the stripes when you get close. Then use the curb or edge of pavement and try to get the bumper parallel. I find this works.

I have remote mirrors so I just adjust the mirror downwards to get a better view of the stripes.why are you backing into a spot trying to hide your plate😃
