The taillight pin on my 4-pin flat connector is no longer receiving power. Thus, the running lights on my trailer have stopped working too. I suspect a fuse may be blown, but I have no idea what fuse it might be. From the fuse diagrams I've found, I don't see a description that would indicate the correct fuse. The only description I thought it might be was for position 48 ("trailer tow lighting module battery charge") under the hood. But that position is empty. I hate to pull every fuse in the cabin and under the hood in a random and possibly futile search.

Does anyone know what fuse position controls the taillights?

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Fuse #37 in the under-hood fuse box.
That was it. I don't know how I missed the description, but I did. So, thank you. The fuse was indeed blown. I replaced it and now the running lights all illuminate. But now I receive an error that there is an issue with the right turn signal. Indeed, when I look at the one on the trailer, it kind of flickers. The tail light portion is lit, but the turn signal is weak and doesn't blink distinctly from the illumination of the tail light portion of the fixture. Perhaps there is a short in the line somewhere. That may have been what caused the fuse to blow. Anyway, figuring out what is wrong with the right turn signal will be the next thing to figure out.

Thanks again,
Andrew

Your welcome. Just for grins, if you have jumper cables or similar, establish a ground from the truck to the trailer, and see if the turn signal light problem persists. Many times, these phantom problems are the result of a poor ground circuit.

Thank you. I will certainly check that out.

Thank you. I will certainly check that out.

More than likely its the ground on the actual tail light. Every year I have issues with grounds getting corroded. I now use dielectric grease when I fix whatever is going on and that seems to fix it permanently.

Another way to confirm the problem is in the trailer rather than the Mav. is to get an extra taillight and wire it directly to the 4 pin as the right turn. Assuming it works properly, you know you need to chase the ground and other wiring on the trailer. As others have said, it's most likely somewhere in the ground circuit--don't ask how I've come to know that!
