You're asking somebody to go through the trouble of going out to their truck raising their seat removing the cover up panel and taking a picture of their battery but yet you can't provide one of the battery you bought.

This is a stock image but is identical to what I have. I circled a “port” on the negative side. The positive side has the same “port”. Those ports are fully sealed and have not venting.

I guess a picture of an old OEM and what that vent plug actually is might be in order then.
But if considered non-vented then just plug in vent hose despite looking like nothing is done, plug the other one.

Those holes are fully sealed spots and there was not plug with my packaging. Can you take a picture of your ventilation ports that have a true vent hole?

Mine came with a plug. Why put in the ports and ship it with a plug if the ports are sealed and don't do anything?

the listing description is a little vague but I searched by 25 Maverick.
Strange to see a 11/11/2024 date in there as well.

I don’t have access to my battery at my house right now while I’m away on a trip. As I said, it’s the same exact thing.

That one has been found and showed in another thread. Still nothing that showed it came with 25 but it does exist.

No comment if it would be considered a warranty replacement though.

And if buying your own - not sure I'd want to buy "Motorcraft quality" like I got already.

ETA: now if dealer said I can do partial warranty replace with me paying the difference - maybe.

At this point it probably doesn't matter - the solution will be the same if indeed sealed - punch it out or get another one sent.

But they are considered ventless or sealed batteries - and AGM doesn't need to be usually.
Think of that vent tube as failsafe if overcharging did occur and some venting relief valve or crack occurred.

I’ll see what the seller says about it first since I’ll get a reply before I have access to the battery again. I found it odd that it did not have a vent plug though.

Both vent holes are sealed. The plug that comes with it is very tight fitting and has barbs on it. I didn't want to try to put the plug in since I was afraid I could not get it back out. Inside each hole are two little semi circle indentations. You can see them in the photos. But I shined a light in there and I see no open vent. It appears sealed. Maybe the semi circles are meant to bust open at a set pressure? It may be that the vent is a pressure release situation where it is sealed until needed.
