I have not tried this yet, but I can see using the Mav to keep a refrigerator or freezer going thru a power failure lasting a day or two. My late-model 27 CF refrigerator pulls only 100W on a 65% duty cycle, so there would be enough power left to run a couple of LED light bulbs and a TV.
My truck will be 3 years old in a few months, and I have never used the 110 outlet so far. The problem is anything I wanted to plug in (power tools) would pop the breaker.

crockpots both in the bed and cab, various higher power chargers for electronics, most recently a 40w heating pad, so my dogs have heated seats like me

Most automatic drip coffee makers should pull too much power. When using a full up generator, could power them but only if you unplugged most other stuff.
What I’m wondering for camping and coffee making purposes is if you could power a portable induction “burner?” I think they may draw far less power than a standard electric coil. If you could boil water on that, even if just on a lower setting, you could make coffee either for a french press or an old-fashioned open pot coffee pot. Curious if anyone has tried this with a Mav?

Edit: I don’t think this will work either darnit.
I did an exhaustive online search back in ‘22 when I bought Mav and I only found one coffee maker that didn’t exceed the 400 Watt limit. It’s a single cup brewer that I bought online from Walmart.
It’s definitely no-frills quality but it works okay for camping.

I'm curious as to what others use their outlets for.

Thus far, I've used mine for charging a cordless drill and other electronics.
🤓 🤪 I haven’t even looked at it.

I have a good sized refrigerator I use on long trips and it works fine. I made sure that the truck outlet could handle it before I bought it.

We have a cooler that plugs in to it when we go to our cabin. It only uses 28 wats so plenty of juice for it. When we arrive at the cabin, there are cold beers in it for us to enjoy. We love it. It is about a 4 hour drive, and when we get there we are there for 3 of 4 days. So no need to drink and drive at all.

I run a male-to-male extension cord into my house when we have a power outage. The truck uses less gas than my generator.

so far, i've only used mine for charging my power tool batteries if i'm traveling with them.

i have a dometic fridge in my campervan though, and i've been planning on putting it in the bed of the maverick if we ever take "smaller" trips that don't warrant using the big van. i think the outlet would be great for keeping the fridge powered!

I've run an extension cord from it into my home office a few times during power outages. Enough to power my laptop and monitors.

I also used it to grind coffee for a neighbor during a power outage (priorities!).

At camp I've used it to power a work light to make night time setup easier.

You're backfeeding power to your house with a 400w inverter?

Mostly used to charge tool batteries while in route between jobs. Very useful.
Also perfect for the electric cooler when hauling frozen or refrigerated items from grocery store to the house - especially when house is 50 miles for town. Ice cream stay frozen without have to buy dry ice packs and wrapping in towels. Saves a lot of time prepping for long trip home.
Really glad to have this option available and it gets used without propblems.
