I have not tried this yet, but I can see using the Mav to keep a refrigerator or freezer going thru a power failure lasting a day or two. My late-model 27 CF refrigerator pulls only 100W on a 65% duty cycle, so there would be enough power left to run a couple of LED light bulbs and a TV.

It would have to be running the entire time.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I have a hybrid which would make running a fridge/freezer during a power failure a bit less painful. Still a better option than losing all that food...

I have used the plug inside the truck to charge a battery pack, that's about it. Far less useful than I thought it might be thanks to the tiny 12v battery in the hybrid. Better off having a separate battery and inverter.

During Helene, without power, we used it to grind and cook coffee. Just enough power.
Would not power our coffee maker during Helene. Kept tripping off. Have not attempted anything else.

That sounds handy.
What brand of fridge freezer do you have or thinking of, that runs off of 400 watts?

Yes,I also noticed coffee makers drew to much power.

I've used it for a few things: a handheld blower to inflate rafts, charge batteries for power tools, a laptop, etc. The only thing that failed was a 12-cup coffee maker on a car camping trip. Had to resort to cowboy coffee.

Most automatic drip coffee makers should pull too much power. When using a full up generator, could power them but only if you unplugged most other stuff.
What I’m wondering for camping and coffee making purposes is if you could power a portable induction “burner?” I think they may draw far less power than a standard electric coil. If you could boil water on that, even if just on a lower setting, you could make coffee either for a french press or an old-fashioned open pot coffee pot. Curious if anyone has tried this with a Mav?

Edit: I don’t think this will work either darnit.

I use mine to run a pancake compressor ,so I can air up the tires in my motorhome ,while it is in storage.

y'all are offering great reasons to justify my imminent order of a powerboost F150 with 7kw two phase power!

The induction units I have had were between 1000w-1800w
I don't know if they would boil water at a setting 400w or lower
