Ford has made a total of zero (0) statements that the pro assist features will be missing from early builds, yet it’s still being listed and advertised. This forum is the only place anyone has said anything.
You replied to my quote out of context. I wasn't talking about Pro Assist.

It's literally the difference of a few weeks. Would I prefer to get it 2 or 3 weeks early but miss out on tech that was advertised? I feel like that would tick me off a little.
I probably would have waited a little if I would have known when I ordered stuff was going to be missing. Neither Ford or my dealer really pointed this out but I'm not going to cancel my order because of it. I can live without it so it is what it is. The only place that has mentioned missing features is this forum and a few non ford articles.

Now put yourself in the shoes of someone who doesn’t browse forums or painstakingly research articles on the web, and instead just relies on the manufacturer. Ford has said since day one (and still states on several parts of their website) that the Pro Assist features will be on the 2025 Maverick. Then you go to pick it up and it’s missing. “Oh yeah, sorry, looks like you’ll have to place a new order.”

I have a 2025 Maverick on order for job 1 so it will not have the pro-trailer backup or hitch assist. I understand what the pro-trailer backup does, but I don't really understand the hitch assist. The website says it adds lines showing where the hitch will go but I thought the 2022-2024 added a line already. How is this different than todays mavericks?
It's an "easy mode" dial. From what I've seen in videos, it's great if you have little experience backing up trailers. If you know how to back up a trailer, it won't make much of a difference. In terms of lining up the hitch, the back-up camera alone was a massive game changer. For a truck the size of the Maverick, I would not lose sleep over its absence.

Yeah IMO no vehicle should have anything different from job1 vs job2 unless its a recall fix. It just makes it way more confusing. They should have just held off on building any until they could do it for all. That being said I am fine without it, just one less thing to worry about breaking. I may play dumb and see if the dealer will take some more off the msrp when I am "surprised" to find out its missing lol

They will be available on the 2025 Maverick ... just not on the first batch of them. "Late availability" has been a thing with auto manufacturers for decades.
My owner's manual goes into detail about all kinds of wonderful features my Maverick doesn't have. It just says "if equipped" to get around it.
