Id recommend a lanolin based product that you reapply instead of Ziebart but to each their own.

An application of Fluid Film runs about $100 if you do it yourself. Year 2 is probably similar and after that it’s mostly just touch up.
In this particular case, I'd let an experienced and reputable professional do it for me.

Just drive it.

I don't know if people are still having problems, but don't get out and shut the door with the key in it, they've been known to lock themselves.
Nope....they are NOT locking themselves...the truck that is. It is user error hitting the "Manual" lock button on the driver's door when exiting. Search it up. :)

My brand new 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD and 4K towing lef the factory yesterday.
I drove all kind of different vehicukles in my life but never a Ford and never an hybrid.
ONe of the first thing , for me, will be to put tonneau cover,
What are the thinbgs to and not to do when I just receive it?
How is the rust protection on this trucks?
Thank you and have a great day.
Search forum titles by keyword for lots of info.

Drive it gently for at least the first 1,000 miles.
Learn what different screens are available to display in the instrument cluster. The EV Coach and Brake Coach are great ways to learn how to drive the Hybrid for best mileage.
Read the fn user manual for tons of features you have no idea are included in this truck.
Enjoy!

There is a trash can for the rear of the center console. It has 2 cup holders and a flipper slot on the lid. There is nothing out there better than it. It's brand is Mabett. I think we got it on Amazon. Also be careful when you go to change your wiper blades as they can interfere with the back edge of the hood. If you ever put things in the bed, there is a type of self retracting hard mounted ratchet straps that work very well mounted in the bed. I cut the hooks off and added 12kn caribiners so I could loop them through things.

Sorry but I had to correct the typos and improper grammar. It was driving me crazy. Now that it's fixed, I can answer your questions. Some of the traditional and cost-effective things to do would be a bug deflector, mud guards, and all-weather mats. If you live in colder climate, I would suggest a hard tri-fold tonneau cover so it can take snow atop of it. Like someone else mentioned, the tailgate assist is an easy, affordable and practical modification, especially if you plan on using the bed frequently.

Things not to do would be aftermarket lights and lifts. For me, this is more of a personal taste but I've never been a fan of trucks with 2+inch lifts that have giant, off-road boggers that generate a lot of noise and gaudy chrome wheels. It's one thing in you're in an environment where it's essential to have higher ground clearance such as living off the grid, on a farm or if you intend to off-road it for pleasure. But most is done for show and keeping it as stock as possible is the best and cheapest solution. Less premature wear and tear in the long run on your control arms, springs, ECM and battery.

I would say rust shouldn't be too much of issue since most panels on the truck are made out of aliminum such as the hood, roof and front quarter panels. And it's unibody so there's no separate ladder frame underneath the truck the body is bolted onto. No having to worry about frame rot. But there have been reported issues of bubbling paint on the steel panels. I wouldn't worry about it too much since it's an isolated issue. Taking good care your truck such as waxing and ceramic coatings helps preventatively.

For someone, who doesn't know, how to use commas, your post came off super arrogant.

Like someone else mentioned, the tailgate assist is an easy, affordable (MISSED OXFORD COMMA and practical modification, (SHOULD BE A PERIOD). especially if you plan on using the bed frequently.
For your love fest with commas you missed a really easy Oxford comma and compounded your mistake by making it a run on sentence.

For me, this is more of a personal taste but I've never been a fan of trucks with 2+inch lifts that have giant, off-road boggers that generate a lot of noise and gaudy chrome wheels.
This one is particularly cringy. Since you are the one replying and offering no alternative you do not have to state For me.

You also don't then say "this is more of a personal taste" because it is your response.

Can't even spell ALUMINUM correctly.

No having to worry about frame rot.
This is not a complete sentence.

Isn't Utah a dry state.
I live in the dry Colorado plains.
The old cars in the junk yards here have less rust than most low mileage cars out east on the roads.
I have done nothing to my cars underbody, all makes....and rust is insignificant.

I wasn't trying to be arrogant. I let my OCD get the best of me. Even though my description wasn't perfect since you policed me on it, we all make mistakes, even ones who think they don't. I realize that most people post through their computer or type it on their phone quickly and don't bother to proofread or make sure it's grammatically correct. Not everyone thinks that way or has the time. However, it's not that hard to just quickly proof it so that way you can get the point across coherently and vividly. Like I mentioned, there's bound to be mistakes even after proofreading. At the end of the day, we're only human and not robots. However, a little more effort even for a quick post on a forum or on a Youtube video wouldn't hurt anybody.

As a side note, you're coming off as arrogant for posting extra commas in your reply as a way to make fun of me. Also, you're insulting my intelligence when you bash me for not knowing how to spell the word 'aluminum.' "Can't even spell ALUMINUM correctly." I will admit, that was my mistake but there's no need to be belligerent about it.

Nice to know we have a few English Majors here! Should ‘ Majors’ have a capital M or no, not? 😉

There was no need for you to criticize OP.

My post is a direct reaction to your completely unnecessary comment about OPs grammar.

I was intentionally arrogant and you didn't care for it much. Maybe don't act that way towards others.

I do it all the time. I have to open the back door and reach to the front.

Rust protection is never good enough. Manufacturers don't want them to last. States with harsh winters want them to rust so you buy more vehicles. They get sales tax title fee money. Every time a vehicle is resold they collect sales tax. Big scam. I had New Hampshire Oil rustproofing and undercoating put on mine. I had the wax-oil product used on mine.
This product gets firm but stays pliable. You can touch it and not get messy. The product has a lifetime warranty. I paid $925 and you take it back every 2 years for a inspection costing $99 and they do respray the inside the hidden body panels every time. They only spray the underbody if it has somehow come off.

Rinoliner gets hard. If it cracks and moisture gets underneath it you will end up with rust. You will not notice it untill its to late.
