I don't have to be a fanboy having a love feast to use something. As I've said every time a fanboy says nonsense like this, it's not the perfect vehicle, nor the worst. It is what it is, and I'm okay with it, but I won't lie about it's strengths and weakness just to suck up to people like you.
Nothing nice to say, don't say anything. Be kind.

They also say a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot is standard.
I was wondering about that one too. Definitely not well proofread. Though for fun I was looking at past ones and wow. Some are quite funny reads in retrospect.

List of sub-$30k pick-up trucks:

Ford Maverick
None. It's starts at $35k in Canada, where I am. 😛 Plenty of good used trucks under $30k though.

Nothing nice to say, don't say anything. Be kind.
The guy insults me for saying something he doesn't like and I'm unkind, give me break.

Last I checked, the 2025 Mav is still the cheapest new pickup on the market.
So? Everyone here is telling me it's not cheap. Which is it?

Haha... I get it. I love my Mav, but the thing I was thinking is... Top 10 trucks in the US... Were there more than 10 to choose from?

I guess with the electrics and the half ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton versions of the full sizes you get there. But I was thinking it's kind of like finishing top 10 in a race with 15 competitors.
It's Not top 10 trucks it's top 10 vehicles "truck segment" If you pull up original article

So again, you just said it yourself… it’s the “truck” segment. The whole point of Slash’s comment. 🥴🥴

Well it's their top ten, it's literally meant to be a puff piece announcing their award winners. It's the reviews that get more into the details and such.

2024 Ford Maverick Review, Pricing, and Specs

Kinda like a movie awards show, announcing and showing clips of the top 5 movies for best picture. You get the highlights of the ones in the running and hyping it up, but it's not meant as an actual review.

Here's the 1983 top ten for the Pontiac 6000STE:

" If the downsized General Motors big cars of 1977 were the best American cars since the end of World War II, the 1982 General Motors A-bodies are the best since 1977, and the Pontiac 6000STE is the best of all. Exactly opposite the Firebird, the 6000STE is light and lively, features the most up-to- date technology available from GM, and comes wrapped in sheetmetal that can only be described as controversial. Another major point of differentiation is the fact that these cars aren’t selling very well. We believe that the appearance of the A-cars will grow on the American public, and the 6000STE ought to lead the way in that regard. It is, by our lights, the most handsomely trimmed and detailed new product in the current GM portfolio. It is also the least compromised, and the one that does the best job of telegraphing exactly what kind of car it is, and to exactly what kind of driver it is supposed to appeal. This is in every way a Car and Driver kind of car. Fun to drive, economical, distinctive in appearance, comfortable in an active participant’s sense of the word, and absolutely contemporary. "

These awards have always been their puff pieces.
OMG! So TRUE! Don't believe everything you read. I had to Google what a 6000ste was, as i don't remember that one at all, but what a POS, looks like the LM of Apollo 13 LOL. No wonder not 1 made it out alive (past the junk yard crusher).

That is not an insult. Just a friendly reminder to play nice.

I did not insult you at all. You give off miserable wet towel energy in these forums.

That’s not an insult it’s just what your behavior on the forums is.

If you don’t like being told that, change the energy you bring to these forums. Your energy has no impact on me but I can’t imagine going through life with such a negative attitude. It has to be exhausting.

haha... It is funny to read today. The 6000 was plain ol early 80's heap. The STE was GM getting back to performance. 135 horsepower and a 3 speed automatic (ok you could get a 5 speed manual in the first years too at least). But this was their BMW/Audi competition.. still running a carburetor. 0-60 in 11.2 seconds... which is slower than an early model prius. Wow the early 80's were not fun. Car and Driver top 10 car 3 years in a row and Road and Track called it one of the top 12 "enthusiast cars".
