like many others I am dealing with bad cv axles. Took my truck in when I noticed the shaking upon acceleration and it was confirmed a passenger side cv axle. I asked if they could replace both and was told no. Waited 3 weeks for the new and improved cv axle while still continuing to drive on it. Was installed today and just got the call that it’s better but still present. So as predicted they now said the driver side is bad and the part is 1 month out. Again, they told me to continue driving it. Who knows what damage is being done to related components while driving. I’m sure it will be something else after the driver side is repaired.
this is only one of many issues I’ve had with this thing. Worst vehicle I’ve ever owned. If you’re on the fence about a maverick , don’t do it.

i think the hybrids of previous MY are known to have CV axle issues. sucks yours both went at different times and within a short period of time, but it should still be under warranty, i believe, unless you have been putting a bunch of miles on it.

im hoping MY25 will not have the same CV axle issues, but we will see.

I'm not happy with mine either. The dome lights aren't working again and this is with a new BCM, new negative cable with the monitor thing in it, all the updates, and I put an AGM battery and changed the settings that helped others. I also had to change my axles at 32k. It also took my dealer FIVE visits to diagnose the rattling rear sliding window, which I told them was the problem on visit 1, which was finally solved by replacing it.

If there was a competitor I would switch. Unfortunately no one seems interested in making one, so I'm waiting on my '25 to show up to the dealership to trade in my '22 on. Hopefully they ironed out some of these issues for the refresh.

You have a right to be aggravated however let them change the other axle when they get a chance and see what happens with the performance of your vehicle after that maybe your luck will change and everything will workout.

?? ecoboosts do not have CV axles. unless i am mistaken, that is purely a hybrid thing.
All Mavericks have at least 2 CV axles; the AWD models have 4. It's kinda how the power gets to the wheels.

Ford refuses to give me a loaners because it “drivable” on the cv axle and the part is backordered. I’m probably destroying other parts of the vehicle.

Drive your vehicle easy in the mean time. The only thing that will go bad will be the axle joint especially if it's on the drivers side. And it would be likely give you plenty of warning and make a lot of noise before it would separate. Having a Tremor I hope that I will get more miles at of my truck. Only time will tell.

OP has proper right to air their frustrations but lately it feels like MTC has just turned into a cesspool of negativity around the Maverick.

Something I'll probably check out of since there really isn't much good discussion or information swapping occurring, and when I say this - we have a lot of new members whose first post is to simply bitch about their known (to us) issues.

They don't care to search the forums, they don't care to introduce themselves, heck most don't even stick around to see the discussion they started through.

Most forums have a wait period before you can jump on and just start trashing the place. @Administrator - probably time we get something like that going around here.

So you don’t want people to discuss anything negative? People should know what they are getting into. I personally appreciate the negative and positive posts.

People are complaining about the volume of the turn signal FFS - so yes I have a problem with bullshit like that.

I also have a problem with brand new members dropping in to share their horror story about Ford and their Maverick when there are massive holes in their stories and then they dip and never post again.

Negative information is welcome.

Do we need dozens of duplicate threads from new members on well established topics that a simple search would reveal? No we don’t. That just makes the site suck.
