I have seen others post about this issue and I have never had this problem with the 25+ vehicles I have owned. When driving my 2024 Lariat, my foot frequently slips off the gas pedal. If I move the seat closer to help with that, then I am too close to the brake pedal and end up braking oddly.

Is there a way to adjust either the gas or brake pedal height? Or a recommendation for a gas pedal cover that works to keep my foot from slipping off? I’ve seen some pedal covers, but not sure if they would just be a waste of money.

My mother is 4'10". With every car she's ever owned, she needed to add a piece of 2x4 wood taped to the gas pedal. It was a restriction on her DL. Maybe that will work for you.

With the over 350 million vehicles Ford has produced, you’d think that they would do some sort of research into the ergonomics of these kind of things. /S

Isn't the gas pedal close to the edge of the middle/transmission where your foot cannot slip off to the right side? If it slips off the left side, quit falling asleep. There are rubber caps to place on the pedal. You should not slip on rubber. It ain't a GMC ya know.

The OEM Maverick gas pedal looks/feels like some kind of .89 cent knock off from China, easily fixed with a nice set of pedal covers which I had to do one week after taking delivery. No issues since.

I have not owned a Maverick yet but this might or might not be relevant we had an old F-150 work truck and by old I mean at this point is probably over 20 years old, and it seems like the brake pedal was way way too high off the floor compared to the gas it was the most bizarre driving pedal arrangement I had ever driven
