Demand of Central console button protective cover

Hello MTC Owners,
A previous owner of a Mav had a demand for the cover of the central console buttons. Because pets may involuntarily step on buttons. Therefore, this demand was born. Most car owners may have DIY this, and we have now developed this type of lid. We would like to inquire if any car owners need it, and we have decided on the first batch of shipments.

It isn't something I need but did you attach the cover as a trim piece for the center console, possibly combine it with one of the carbon fiber/multi colored versions?

I'd be interested. I bought the item in post 2 to use as template for the opening and doing what the person in the picture in post 1 did. I haven't gotten around to making it and have several "mods" ahead of it.

Not for me, I need to turn off the automatic engine shut off feature every time I drive.

I too, would be interested. Would like to see actual picture of your solution and how it mounts. I also need to access it every time I start to select my drive mode. Needs to be durable. Have currently fashioned a cardboard piece that mounts in the slot on hybrids to protect from accidental operation. It works, but is less than good appearing.

Rather than covering them, I'd prefer to move them, to the space just forward of the transmission knob. Out of the way but still visible and easy to reach. Would be perfect for those if us with XLTs with only 3 buttons (mode, TC, brake hold), though I suppose it might not work for those of you like the OP that have all 5.

An upside down 12 ounce paper coffee cup works fine.
It’s big enough to harmlessly spin around when my dog is frisky.

Forscan that annoyance away. I did it in the parking lot of Granger Ford before I ever put a mile on the truck. No Start Stop since new. Have 15K on her now.

1. A cover that snaps on over the side of the console (NO screws)

2. Round holes in the cover that would allow a finger to go through to push a given button.
