"The Ford Bronco and Ford Mustang are two of the most exciting vehicles available with four wheels. Now, Ford and N+ – a leader in cycling technology – bring the spirit and performance of Bronco and Mustang to two wheels through a lineup of new officially licensed eBike models."

The plus side, the Bronco version can color match most Mavericks, including Eruption Green.

No mention of the weight ?

Not like i gonna buy it or nothing close, unless they offered for a big discount with a new maverick purchase.

I looking in the next few years to get a e-bike, something like a e-gravel bike, the point with me is that i looking for something not heavy, something below 35 pounds, i know is not easy but is not impossible too, there's a few available but then the range is not that good. So we keep waiting till a good deal show up.

The components on these things for the price are absolutely abysmal. Not to mention I see they weigh 67 pounds...

But hey, got to make margin somewhere to pay for the recalls, right?

I'm old enough to remember the Jetta Trek where the car came with the rack and mountain bike pre-installed, saving you a trip to REI, as back then every VW was required to have a Thule roof rack to be legally driven. Ford could cash in on this and make a package deal, although the e-bike may be too heavy for a roof rack.

My mom had a ZX-3 Kona focus. UT college student bought the bike for a couple hundred bucks back then to get around campus.

The pricing is absolutely laughable!

You can purchase 2-3 of a better bike for the cost of one of these. Specifically, Rad bikes.

People that buy "FORDS" don't spend $5000 on mopeds!

Good eMTB’s are expensive. There are guys out there that “live” for riding; their whole life revolves around mountain biking. And when they review eMTB’s they will complain about them costing $6,000-$10,000, but will also lavish them with praise for how good they are. Once you go under $6,000, they start talking about the compromises of a “budget” e-bike. Once you go under $4k, they wouldn’t take the bike seriously, because you’re going to be using cheap components that will lead to blown shocks from bottoming out, cracked frames and bent wheels. And yes, you can find cheap Chinese junk e-bikes on Amazon for $1,200, but they wouldn’t even survive one trip down the trail.

With all that said, this N+ Bronco looks to be a hot pile of garbage that no mountain biker would want to ride. This is designed to be driven like a motorcycle, not pedaled like a bike.

$5000 gets you a pretty sweet direct to consumer ebike these days. Those Canyons are about that much on sale. And they're significantly better than the "Ford" bikes at being mountain bikes.

Agreed. I picked up a 2024 Specialized eMTB for $4,300. Its list price was $5,500. It does have some compromises in componentry, but it is good enough for my middle-aged riding style. I’m not about to go bombing down a trail like I would in my 20’s, for fear of breaking multiple bones and being out of work / income for months.
