Some of the complaints can likely be fixed with forscan...

I wouldn't mind a stick shift... As said before it would have gotten me to the Ecoboost...

A more refined sounding engine, seems really buzzy. 10 inches of ground clearance, a more aggressive tire than a Michelin sedan tire. SiriusXM apps like weather forecast, gas prices. Flat rear floor. The absolute top thing would be a back seat that is 60/40, so you could keep one side folded up and one side for sitting. I am really liking the truck, and most of my list is nitpicking but the back seat not being split really annoys me.

I wished the Maverick had 2 things...rear defroster and heads-up display. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

Air conditioner? In the middle of winter? 10 below with a strong wind from the north? Or better an ice storm/ rain/sleet?
My automatic climate control on every vehicle I've owned in the last 15-20 years leaves the a/c condenser on even when it's heating the interior of the vehicle. So far as I know, that a/c button should always stay on no matter what the temperature outside. It should definitely run when the defroster is on.

Automatic windshield wipers. And a false bottom in the console. I had a 2008 Prius that had 2 sort of invisible compartments (one was a sliding drawer under the console; the other was off to the side of the spare tire under the floor of the cargo area). Oh, and a memory button for the seat/side mirror adjustments.

Every GM vehicle I have ever owned when you change it to any defroster setting the AC automatically came on. Auto especially works this way.

Could make a circuit that replicate pushing the off button every time the vehicle is started. As far a cubby hole. I have decided to add USB outlets.
Please document the install with lots of pics!

Surprised this hasn't been said..... The one thing that would make me love it more would actually be to have it built and in my possession

Well at least the Maverick has a button you can turn the start/stop off. Some car makers don't have a button. You cannot turn the start stop off. At all.

Don't like the cubby beside the screen. If they didn't want to make the screen larger, it would have looked better with just the screen by itself. One of my biggest gripes is no built in navigation. I've always used a Garmin GPS unit, never had a car with built in nav and would have like to have had it. Looks like I'll be using that cubby hole to fabricate a GPS mount. Usually a company called Proclip will come out with a GPS mount. They've been around for years and I've used them in several of my cars. So far they don't have one for the Maverick, but I'm sure they are working on it and will have one out soon. they also make phone holders and device holders as well.

A 6 speed manual transmission.. Yep. This truck would be so fun to drive, AWD, turbo, 6 speed.. Man…
The compact size, reported agility, and fun-to-drive factor of the Maverick screams for a manual transmission. I am a die-hard manual fan, to the point of buying both the last model years offering a manual of two vehicles, 2016 CX-5 and 2018 Colorado.
And yes, these are daily drivers, not weekend toys. Some of us genuinely prefer the engagement, any time we drive. Even with otherwise mundane commuter/utility vehicles.
