Got the package because it has the tow hitch, bed-liner, windshield wiper defroster, and heated seats for a good price. Wouldn't put any one item on the list above the others.
It sounds dumb but the leather wrapped steering wheel is a huge deal for me. I’ve had several cars with the “rubber” or whatever the base coating is and while it never bothered me I always thought I’d like to have something nicer on the part of the car I have the most tactile experience with. The heated seats, Bed liner, and tow hitch made it worth it to me.
Stop and go acc, wireless charging.
If these were available on a lower trim I'd have rethought the Lariat trim.
I'll still appreciate the other things I'm paying for, but these were the features I wanted the most.
I too hate plasticy steering wheels. Real turn off. In New England, heated seats are key. Also liked bed liner and tow hitch.
Think I'll like remote start. Never had it before, but again...New England.
On the XLT Lux package I wanted the heated seats/mirrors, bed liner, the inverter in the bed. Still wish it came with push button start, but I'm not stepping that far up the ladder to get it
Heated seats, heated leather wrapped steering wheel, heated mirrors and remote start makes cold mornings wonderful when you park outside and leave for work at 5am. Spray in bedliner, hitch, etc is all stuff I would have added separately anyways. I would have bought a Lariat but didn't like the brown seats.
Once I went to Lariat (I started at XL lol), it was just a no brainer. I was already adding a spray-in bedliner for $500. So when I factored that into the equation, I found the ACC, the heated seats and wheel, the B&O audio.. all of it just made sense to do.
I went from "I want to spend less than 25k" to "As long as it is under 30K, I'll be happy" and it rang up at $29,300 from Chapman.
Live In Michigan, so Heated Everything is worth it, first time ordering a new truck might as well go big since most of the cars/trucks I have had, lasted 20+ yrs.
