Who got the proper 12v AGM battery with their Maverick from the dealer?

Good morning all,

I've seen plenty of posts about how the el cheapo 12V batteries fail prematurely.
I'm in the same boat, have had mine replaced 3 times in 14 months.

I know I can simply buy my own AGM 12v battery but am curious as to which exact AGM battery Ford supplied some or any of you straight from the factory/dealer when you bought your truck? Your opinions would be appreciated.

NO Hybrid Maverick came with an AGM Battery, only the ecoboost model did. The size is not the same either, hybrid is smaller, you need something like this for a hybrid:

Hmm, that's too bad. I figured at least a few of them got a proper AGM factory battery. Thanks for the update, much appreciated!

Ford doesn't even stock an AGM replacement battery for the Hybrid. It's got the software programming for it, though.

So all us hybrid owners got screwed with a crappy battery? Oh well. Thankfully most of my driving is local so I will keep getting my dealer to replace the battery every couple of months when I see sleep mode under warranty and take the free car wash. Lol

2025 Escape Hybrid owner manual specifies a BAGM-H4 (H4 size AGM battery). That is available as a Motorcraft part but you won’t be able to get it as a warranty replacement on a 22-24 probably. Has anyone seen a 2025 Maverick owner manual to see if it lists the same?

My Hybrid's flooded lead-acid battery has been fine so far, 13 months and 19K miles.

That's because you drive a lot. Enough to keep that POS battery charged. I don't. Only have 5,000 miles on mine same time frame. Oh well, it's what it is. I may still put an AGM battery in but I don't mind Ford giving me a free one every several months plus a free car wash since I live five minutes away from the local dealer and work to boot.

Is that a T4 or an RT4 size? The required RT4 size has the terminals reversed, so if you use a T4 battery then you have a bit of rewiring to do.

EB owners (MY22 and MY23) also got a lousy EFB. I changed my battery to an AGM battery over 6 months ago. I think most of the MY24s have an OEM AGM battery.
