I’m ordering 2025 xlt. When I ordered my 2022 XLT the spray in liner was holding up the orders so I dropped it ,had a spray in liner installed by line-x.
Does the Ford install liner cover the top of the bed by the rear window?

I would definitely go with a Line-X or Rhino liner. Ford doesn't even scuff up the paint you could literally take a razor knife cut the liner and then peel it out with no issue. Plenty of videos on YouTube showing this exact problem with the Ford spraying liners.

If I was going to spend roughly 500 bucks for a spray and liner believe I would get a quality one that would last the Ford ones just basically peel out they don't do the proper prep work and usually they spray over the factory bolts. They also don't spray the entire tailgate the last 4 in or so are still paint.

Thankfully no. No reason to to cover the area. It's directly against the window. Anything that would damage the finish there would also risk damage to rear window. And it is likely to fade.
Looks better without it.

No. The factory liner was not sprayed on top of the area next to the rear window.

I got the Rhino liner, and they didn't cover that space next to window. Rhino did a great job. In almost 2 years and heavily used, still prefect.

I have a Ranger with the Ford factory spray in liner and my Maverick has the line-x as the factory spray in was a delay item at the time of my order. Comparing the two the Line-x cost a little more but is head and shoulders the better liner in all respects. I'm very happy the factory liner wasn't available for my Maverick!!

I don't know about the specific detail you are talking about, but as to quality of Ford's spray in liner, the sales manager at our Ford dealership told me that Ford did not provide coverage for future spray in liner damage. I went with Line-X which has a life-time guarantee.

Doing great. Just turned 60K miles last week. Ordered Oct 14 '22 and delivered Oct 6 '23. Work has me on the road a lot. Have had no issues with it. XLT Hybrid, average mpg is 38. My wife loves it.

Interestingly, the credit for deleting the factory version that was on the Build & Price website is no longer there - you can delete the spray in liner, but the price doesn't change. It was still there a week ago. Anyone else notice this?

I have the factory liner but no usage experience to share. But i decided to add the Ford bed mat to go with it.

My '22 Lariat EB was the "base" Lariat so no SIBL. I showed my local LineX dealer that Ford charges $495, I would pay him $500 cash. They coated the top rail under the rear window and the entire tailgate.

My '24 hybrid Lariat came with factory SIBL. I was so surprised the factory SIBL didn't coat the top rail nor the entire tailgate. I think you are better off going directly to LineX.

I had Rhino once but the dealer closed so I have used LineX on my past 3 trucks and really like it. After it ages the gloss is gone. You can touch up paint spills with flat black from a spray can.
