One of my Lasfit LED bulbs burned out but they stopped making it due to hyperflashing. Their customer service said they will replace the LEDs with the new version that supposedly don't hyperflash but they are amber.

My question is, will the amber lights look dumb behind the red taillight housing? Has anyone done this yet?

I don’t think that will work. Will be an odd color.
My 2024 Lariat could not use the Lasfit T version either. The 2024 Lariat doesn’t have the same wiring as other Mavs. I decided the best way is to use the brightest LEDs I could find and install resistors for the front and rear taillights and brake/signal lights. I found a guy on YouTube that walked me thru the wiring. It’s not difficult to do and the signal’s work great with no hyper flash. From what I have read, this is the only fix that works.

None of the LED vendors recommend using anything other than a red LED behind red plastic lenses.

Don’t know if it will look “dumb” but if it doesn’t look red it might attract police attention.

All 4 of my new version LASFIT LED Brakelights failed at the same time. I put regular bulbs back in. The fronts work fine. I'm going to contact them, see what they think, and try again.

I know this is different from your needs, I only changed the backup bulbs and the clear lens bulbs in the 3rd brake light to the lastfit led bulbs since I was happy with the factory setup with the rest of the bulbs on my lariat. Some of the lastfit went bad, i called them, they said out of warranty.
Hum, screw it, I replaced them with diode dynamics, been a happy camper ever since. Highly recommend them. Great company, quality products. Not china shit.

🤓 o_O I’d say someone is a little mixed up o_O. They replaced my T3’s with what there calling the new version, but they are still carrying a T3 name. T3-4257R. And SAD TO SAY, I still get hyper flash. 😥

🤓 OK LASFIT what can you tell me now? I have T3’s I installed earlier this year. At this time all 4 bulbs have died. Is there any replacement plans coming up, or do I need to find OEM’s?
If I remember right I’ve been a customer since Feb. of 2022,.

I'm kind of confused you said that 4 of your LasFit lights burned out..
And you weren't happy because LasFit only gave you 80% refund.
Then they posted on here and you said you were writing a letter.
Hi Donald, thanks for contacting Lasfit.
Our T3-series bulbs come with a one-year warranty, and we would be willing to send you new bulbs. Please kindly reach out to our customer service team at [email protected] to explain your situation, and we will assist you.
A letter is on the way.
Did LasFit ever respond to your letter?
Did they send you new ones that burned out again? 😳

The color of the LED needs to match the red lenses. Please don't put amber in there. If Lasfit is recommending that, they are wrong.

I didn't realize this happened to anyone else. I returned mine (still working) while still within the 90-day hassle-free return window and only got an 80% refund because they were "used."

LasFit acknowledge about a year ago that the T3 bulbs would not work on some Maverick models. (I believe it was limited to the hybrid, but I could be wrong). Anyway, they also promised a working replacement, but I have yet to hear of one. To answer your question, I would not recommend replacing with amber and I doubt I will be replacing the OEM halogens as I feel they are very bright as is especially given the size of the Maverick's rear lighting housing. Impressive.

I just did the same thing. At first they recommended their amber T3 bulbs but when I questioned the color they sent me another email stating that they don't recommend the amber bulbs because they are also hyperflashing. They said they currently have no solution to replace the bad bulbs be the R&D team is still trying to make a set that won't hyperflash.

Agree DD has great service, but some of their bulbs are China as well. For the price, you do get a three year warranty.

Thanks for the update. I think I'll call them and let them know anyway. Maybe the next set will work better.
