That would be my question, too.
With that all too frequent last second swerve maneuver people do purposely or because they were distracted - not much.

And if that traffic driving pattern is almost forced with no appropriate gap distance - going to keep happening.

No, regarding AEB.
Depends on what you mean by emergency swerve - it ain't doing it for ya. Not yet.

Scroll to top of page with your post - there's the descriptions from manual .
You'll see what difference there is though with ACC.
Further note in manual I didn't post.
Don't attempt to test.

Actually - a big cardboard box in a parking lot going 5 mph should work - car height.
Confirm that option is not disabled.
Yea I read it and I’ve read the manual before but all it does is describe those features. It doesn’t say which of those or if all of those features come on which models or packages or versions of CP360. I built my mav with CP360 thinking it came with ACC but it didn’t. I’ve gotten into many hairy spots before and it’s never braked for me once so I don’t think I have emergency braking either. And your excerpt from the manual shows there being and option on my dash menu to switch active braking on or off but I don’t have that option in my menu, only to adjust the assist sensitivity. So it’s still very unclear what features I actually have or not.

Interesting. Sorry he got a Darwin Award. How did the pre-collision assist not activate and stand on the brakes? Or was he going so fast that locking up the brakes was not enough to avoid the truck?
No car has locked up the brakes since the 90s. Abs has been standard equipment for literal decades now.

Shouldn't have any emoji much less than one that look like it's smiling.

FYI this is the crying emoji

I'm of an age where reading glasses are useful but even without them I don't see this smiling.

I see XLT wheels on that Maverick which leads me to believe it did not have Adaptive Cruise Control and it may or may not have copilot 360.

If it doesn't have CP360, no automatic emergency braking (AEB).

if it has CP360 but not ACC, it only uses the forward facing camera (that's also used for lane keeping assist) and it needs visual cues to trigger AEB. it can trigger on vehicles or pedestrians.

if it has CP360 and ACC, it would use radar and the forward facing camera both to use visual cues and radar distance & approach speed to trigger AEB.

AEB can be disabled in the driver's instrument panel menu.
Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) has been standard on every single (US/Canadian spec) Maverick from day 1, it is part of the standard Co-Pilot360 suite.

The first tier optional CP360 package includes BLIS and lane-keeping system.

And how many people can't afford to bring their cars to a shop when the ABS light goes off, or they hear of the cost and say never mind, or they don't care anyway.
So the ABS isn't working.

From the limited cars I've been in with people - plenty.

From the cars I see on the road with other death trap items on them - plenty more likely.

From that damage I'm sure they wouldn't have done much anyway.

Closed I35 for hours.
We'll never know the whole story. With all the driver assistance there is no substitute for an alert, able driver.
I often ride a motorcycle (nice day today, I put on 125 miles running around) and you have to pay attention ALL the time. Even when stopped. You get used to being on guard.

The problem I see is a lot of people who decide because it wouldn't be their fault, they shouldn't have to pay attention to their surroundings to try and avoid an accident. "That car shouldn't have done that!"

People constantly following to close behind vehicles in front. . How do I know ? Well when I can't see their headlights above the top of my tailgate . They ARE to Close . I always slow down except when they try passing on two lane road with no passing . That's when they are surprised by my ecoboost and how fast it is .

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is dead in a fiery crash after crashing her truck into the back end of a big rig on the northeast side of town, police say. The truck burst into flames.
The crash shut down I-35 for more than five hours while officials worked to investigate the crash and clear the scene.
It happened around 11:11 p.m. on Monday night on I-35 North at O'Connor Road.
God bless this is terrible šŸ˜”. Does anybody know if it was a hybrid and it was the lithium battery why it burned so bad ?
