+1 instance. 2024 2.0. Clunking from front end over small bumps started quietly and rarely at 40k miles and grew to be constant and louder by 45k miles. Driver side sway bar link, lower knuckle seems bad. Passenger side seems ok but I changed them both out for better all metal MOOG links with...
to anyone still interested in this setup there is also another option but it requires a bit of creativity to swap out the the actual 54mm cap part.. but here’s the alternative product:
so I actually didn’t do it with the engine running which was definitely the issue. I went back and checked today and had to add some more with the engine running. But it wasn’t room temp so maybe my car will explode🤣
Okay, I guess my confusion comes in somewhere here because doesn’t the “capacity” or (amount that goes in) change based on the fluid heating up to operating temp? Like otherwise why would they have you make sure the trans and it’s fluid are at 190F? Otherwise wouldn’t they just say you can do...
Room temp? I thought the temperature conditions indicated are 185-200F for the internal operating temp of the transmission and it’s fluid, irrespective of the room temperature, since the transmission fluid itself has a non-zero thermal expansion coefficient
I'm a bit concerned, and so confused;
2024 2.0 EB AWD 4K; 20k Miles, I decided to do the trans fluid as commonly recommended.
Consensus seems to be 4.5Qts but i had a different experience I wonder if this is a problem;
Drained the fluid and out with the fluid came a small triangular scrap of...
@Snox801
I know you've mentioned the turbo differences several times. and im not sure FastMavericks went with either of them (from the oem 2.0 or the 2.3 he had), but could you clarify?
If one found a complete 2.3 with its turbo, could one directly swap the whole thing? then just reverse the...
Yea that’s the pump. I also got the engine cover when I first got the truck and hated the noise. I did a decibel test with and without the cover and it actually helps lower the noise- by 1 dB lol. Both inside and out of the car.
Anyway I had to take it off after 8 months cause a squirrel...
@A.Bursell for anyone interested, I was able to find a work around to tap into the High Beam signal to power aux lights to come on with the high beams automatically!!
It is VERY tedious and almost no one else will want to do this.
I bought a broken headlight super cheap on eBay to mess around...
@2023Area51 thanks for the info and inspiring confidence, I just finished mine. For anyone curious, I had a spare broken mav headlight and tested before doing mine to see the lowest possible temp. The sealant will get soft enough down as low as 200F but the black plastic won’t get soft enough...
Ok I guess it depends on lighting conditions because once it’s on the truck, this mod is barely noticeable from eye level, only mostly from above. I don’t think I would reccomended it, just doesn’t really seem worth the work to me… but you do what you want.
