Maverick Tremor towed 1755lbs (boat/motor/trailer)

Picked up my boat Saturday! 3 hour drive each way. No major issues. I know technically a bit over 2k when you add the weight of me my passenger, my HD cover, tools, etc... Rear sagged a bit, but not too bad.

Towed the first hour with the seats up.... Was only getting 11 mpg. Next hour got 14 mpg. After I stopped for gas and put in premium I was up to 16mpg. Live and learn I guess lol.

I also learned I could easily remove the windshield on my boat(only way for the cover to fit). I'm sure leaving that off until I get to the lake will help mpgs as well.

I took it out for a maiden voyage the next day. Fully loaded with gear and used a very steep launch and it pulled it outta the water with ease!

I got the Timbren Suspension Enchancement System to help with the Tremors soft rear suspension. It was very easy to install and should help with the sag. I wanted to go with an airbag system but apparently there aren't any that will fit the Tremor. I have yet to tow since installing it. I will keep ya updated on how much it helps.

You are not over the 2,000lbs max. With a tow weight of 1,755lbs you would have a max Truck payload of 514lbs (including passengers) before you max out the GVWR and a Trailer payload of 176lbs before you max out the GCVWR.

I'm definitely over the 514lbs. I didn't have anything extra in the boat/trailer though, unless you count gas... I holds 19 gallons, which is about 120lbs. Not sure if that is calculated in the tow weight.

I used to have a 2003 focus ST 3 door Sonic Blue was a excellent car to carve corner's and the 7300 rpm was cool too.

Congrats on your tow and boat fun! I am a fan of the Timbren system. I had front and back sets for my previous '05 Dakota. Planning on getting a rear set for my '22 XL..just deciding which of the 2 options to get....

Decided to go with the Rebel XL SS. It had the better fish finder/trolling motor combo and a 19 gallon tank instead of the 6 gallon.

I'm definitely over the 514lbs. I didn't have anything extra in the boat/trailer though, unless you count gas... I holds 19 gallons, which is about 120lbs. Not sure if that is calculated in the tow weight.

Yeah, but is it in the 1755lbs that the dealer said is the weight? Or is 1755lbs without gas? I guess I would have to get it weighed to find out? As long as I'm not having issues towing I probably don't have to worry too much.

there is an airbag setup that will fit it from airlift Technologies, I paid about a 120 bucks for mine off Amazon. slipped right in the coil Springs No problem now when I hook my camper up, I have about an inch of sag in the suspension When I have 30 psi in the bags
