According to iSeeCars, the Maverick ranks in as number 11 on a list of the 25 cars that have the most recalls. The Maverick is projected to have over 20 lifetime recalls which is more than 6 times the median for all cars. (The median is 3.2 recalls) The Maverick isn't alone either. The F-150, the Bronco, and the Explorer are also on the list, but keep in mind those vehicles have been around much longer. This should be a red flag for Ford's quality control operations.

Here's the link. Interesting read.

Built Ford Rough is a way of life. I was only halfway joking a year ago that I should start inviting my service advisor to Thanksgiving dinner with how close we've gotten.

Wow.
That's a pretty sad situation for Ford as a corporation.
I remember the old saying. 'When a team does poorly. They don't fire the team, they fire the coach.'
Maybe it is time for a new coach?

Thanks. My only question is the mix of recalls between Hybrid & ECO? Had mine a year, 2023 XLT, and have 2. Backup camera & some light thing last year, neither of which was experienced.

remember also that it was designed during Covid, when teams could not collaborate very well together

Well - known engine, known trannny for hybrid.

Wasn't really a ton of new stuff here for as long as hybrids have been done by them.

What was new was probably sourcing the cheap parts they wanted to use to meet price point, after Covid.

Seems like a major oversight to not differentiate between EB and hybrid.
Yes, it does considering the big difference in technology surrounding the powerplants

I’m not surprised. Make sure you find a dealer with a good service department!!
The last recall i took mine too, the technician dropped his wrench on the dash causing a huge scratch....the dealer offered a $3K credit or a new dash. The truck only had 3K mi, so I took the new dash...fml

Maybe. I learned a long time ago a corporation/business is only as good as its leader
