And also take him off your insurance policy! (If he can't pay for his own insurance, he probably doesn't have any money for any lawsuit to make any sense.)Make sure all his belongings are out on the front yard when he gets his ass out of jail. Change the locks. And that would be probably the nicest thing you could do.
A lot of folks are making this same joke/suggestion, but it's terrible advice. OP, you need to go through a formal eviction process if you want your cousin out of the house. You are doing yourself zero favors if you skirt the law with an illegal eviction. He may be a complete idiot, but he has tenant rights under the law.Make sure all his belongings are out on the front yard when he gets his ass out of jail. Change the locks. If you have someone as a regular driver of your vehicle, you're supposed to add them to your insurance. I had a personal friend on my insurance for years, since he lived in my house and drove my vehicles. Had barely more respect than this cousin, unfortunately. The more I look at this, the more I get the feeling that this was just an insurance stunt.
I don't know a single person that would add their cousin to the insurance and then the vehicle suddenly gets heavily damaged by said cousin.. seems fishy to me. Hope your insurance company is easy to work with and proves to be less suspicious than I.
You are correct. And that's what is wrong with this country.A lot of folks are making this same joke/suggestion, but it's terrible advice. There’s a bumper and tailgate in Indiana…This pains me. What's makes matters worse is that the vehicle is so new that parts to repair it are just not available thanks to the damn shortage. It'll take half a year or more to get that fully repaired if someone decided to buy it. This explains why there's a Maverick XLT that's been sitting at my dealership for weeks on end that was rear-ended. The parts are simply not available. So it has to sit in a service parking spot under a tree for who knows how long waiting on a new tailgate and rear bumper.
Funny but not funny. However, the Maverick at my dealership is Area 51.There’s a bumper and tailgate in Indiana…
