I have noticed a similar lag when taking off from a stop only while turning. I'm using midgrade 88 octane. Not sure if this is related to traction control. However, if I press too hard on the go pedal, I spin the front tires since I have FWD.

Probably best to visit or call your dealer for peace of mind. Alternative is to reply to the Ford Motor Co response in this thread. Glad to see they are looking out for on here.
In 2 years on this forum, I don't think I've ever seen anyone that has actually received any help from the "Ford Motor Company" account. They are always asking for your VIN #, and I generally ignore it. It may actually be monitored by a group at Ford, but I doubt they have any pull with engineering, or otherwise. They just want to keep a good social media presence.

Try using 'sport' mode to see if it makes any difference.
I agree, the eco boost is a bit slow off the line.

It's not that it lacks power but sort of hesitates on acceleration mostly when taking off on turns running 87 octane, I think its the 87 octane. Brand new only 360 miles on it would 91 or higher octane fix this?
My 2019 and 2020 Rangers did the same thing . Dealer told me that there are torque limiters (nannys) that lower torque output in certain situations to protect the drivetrain from damage, and one of the limiters were if the steering wheel was turned. I would be in the median with my wheels turned to get on route 1 with lots of beach traffic and it was very anemic until you get the wheels straighter. I started angling in to the crossover and floor it and it was fine. Mavericks are probably the same. Bret

I just filled up with 93 Sunoco and It appears to have really improved the lag i mostly gone and that

I have noticed some lag with the transmission mostly when the engine is still cold. I don't think octane has anything to do with it. It feels like the transmission is hunting for the right gear. It does not do this all the time. It does seem to get better as the truck gets more miles on it.

My 2024 XLT 2.0 eco boost AWD does not have sport mode either or eco mode, just tow/haul, normal, slippery, sand, mud/ruts. Or am I missing something?
