Boost Gauge?

Its actually 7.5 and thats at idle.

Is it 7.5”? It’s hard to tell in the pic but looks like the needle is exactly half way between the 0 and 10. IDK

I was curious because I’ve never had any motor, whether NA, supercharged, or turbocharged idle anywhere close to that low.

I’ve run BBF NA motors with over .700 lift, over 280* duration @ .050, on a 110cl that made 10” at a ~1300 idle and required a vacuum pump for the brakes. My G2 TT Raptor, Hellcat TRX, and Paxton Viper all make 18” at idle, I’ve just never seen 5-7” on a healthy motor.


Here's my 2019 Raptor 3.5TT at a hot idle, ~18". Again, just curious...

^^ I admittedly know little about the specifics of the 2L EB motor, but this has me wondering if the "T" connection shown in post #24 is tapping into a 'ported' vacuum/boost line and perhaps not reading actual intake vacuum...


It would be interesting to temporarily put that hose on another intake fitting and check the vacuum.

Ignition was just in the on position, motor not running, to get the light to pop on. While running its more around 15 ish, also this is an older gauge that I've used to test fit stuff so it's a little off. It'll get a new gauge here soon.

^^ it would be interesting to lift the hood and temporarily attach a mechanical vacuum gauge to a port on the intake manifold and see what it reads at idle.

Boost cannot be read at the obd port

I use the Vgate Vlinker MC+ and Torque Lite for a boost gauge.

Autometer Airdrive gauges off the OBD2 will display boost (and most everything else)

just a note to be sure you're comparing the same units - psi to psi and not to inches of mercury (about 2 to 1 mercury to psi)

Added a Carlinkit AI box and installed torque pro, works great. Was able to get trans temp also, not sure the cat temp is accurate but everything else seems good.
