Been wanting a maverick for a long while now, but my wife and I couldn’t justify getting one while we currently didn’t have a car payment. But my Kia started going out, so we traded it in and got a maverick! Got it two weeks ago, and last Saturday, a deer decided she wanted to take a closer look at the truck. Absolutely last minute, nothing I could do to prevent it. I was even going a considerably low speed because I was still nervous to drive a new vehicle. Luckily, everything looks repairable and there doesn’t seem to be any mechanical damage.

That sucks. At least it can be fixed and other than the deer no one was hurt. That's the important thing, it's what people always tell me so I figure it must be true... 😂.

I know you're feeling, I had mine for a week before it went in the shop. It took the Ford collision center two months to repair it due to waiting on a back ordered wiring harness.

This is what $11k in damage looks like when a broad hits the driver side front bumper with a bmw.

Sorry to see that. Years ago, a friend of mine hit a deer on the way home from the dealer when picking up his new truck. Hope they can fix it quickly!

Absolutely, had it back for a week and a half... Took the Ford bodyshop 2 months due to a backordered wiring harness.

Yes, it sucked, made 2 payments on a truck I couldn't drive.😟😢

Well it looks great now! I really like the subtle additions you made to it as well!

I just hit a deer this morning. A big doe at 70mph. My hood popped up in front of the windshield! I pulled onto the shoulder of the highway and my maverick was still running. My airbags didn’t deploy which I think is odd. Haven’t heard from insurance yet about it being repaired.

Is that grille cover over the original? or did you take it off and replace it?

Thanks for asking. I’m physically ok but honestly pretty bummed about my maverick. I love that truck and am impressed how tough it is. That’s actually the second deer I’ve hit with that truck. Was very lucky the first time.

Thank you, I was mad and depressed as hell when it 1st had happened. Like really a brand 1 week old truck, ugh...

Thankfully I was't hurt, just butt hurt.
